"Simply Astounding"
What is this astounding thing,
Your love has done for me, my King?
You left a home where angels sing,
to spare mankind from deathbed's sting...
As three cold nails were driven through,
and deadly spear pierced heart of You,
did You foresee Your chosen few?
To earn such grace, what did we do?
Great Lord beyond both Earth and sky,
Eternal God, my Adonai;
I cannot help but wonder why,
For peasant's sake the King should die?
To You, oh Lord, these hands I raise,
To You, my God, I lift my praise;
I long for You, and thirst for grace,
I live my life to seek Your ways...
Such boundless love no man hath shown,
such endless grace is His alone
who chose to step from heaven's throne,
to save our souls and call us home...
May God bless and guide you all in the coming days, amen.
