I am a new member here and have been searching for a place to turn too. I have been married for 18 years and thought I had a good marriage. I just found out my husband wants a divorce. I don't believe in divorce and I am devistated. All I want is prayers from everywhere I can get them. I am reaching out for help and don't know what to do. I love my husband and to me divorce is not an option. Please pray for me and my family.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I want to thank each one of you so much for responding to my prayer requests. I am not out of the woods just yet with my divorce situation, however, things are looking up a bit. We haven't been to church in a while and we are at least talking about that losing our spiritual edge may be a major part in not being able to hold our marriage together. I do at least feel a small bit of hope now. What a shame that it takes my life falling apart before I find God again. Please keep praying for us. I truley believe your prayers are helping. Thank you.
