The last time I had a cat was April 18, 2019 - shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic started. The on again, off again mask mandates (even for fully vaccinated people) caused a long delay. Last year I fostered a cat for almost three weeks, but she was not happy here and needed to live in her first foster family's home.
Fast forward to last week. With nothing to do except listen to audio books and take long walks (when the weather cooperates), I went back to the shelter website to see who they have now. There is one little girl who meets all of the criteria (small, young adult, extremely friendly, very cuddly). But there are two more things I need to know:
Anyway, I also want prayers for Jackie to do what she must do to prove whether she is who we should adopt or not. I want to go there knowing I will see her real personality, not a sleepy cat who is only interested in napping, whether she is "the one" for us or not. And of course, Jackie needs to still be available for a few more days. Adoptions are first come first serve.
Sorry for the long post. Thanks for reading all of it and your prayers.

- How soft is her fur?
- Does she like to be picked up?
