im making wrong choices in my life and it is getting harder and harder to pull away from them. almost impossible to pull away because i find it so much fun. i know i will get hurt in the end, but right now im happy wiht it, i dont want to stop. i know i have to and need to, please pray that iw ill do something to stop this, something that will be wise to pull me away from what im already deep in.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Knowing that you need prayer is awesome, it means you know youre heading in the right direction and you are in a position to stop it (with some help).
Of course we will be praying for you, but i thoroughly believe that if you speak to god, he will tell you the right answer
And take comfort in knowing no matter how bad things get, someone always loves you and you are never alone.

Yes, sin is fun: for a seson. We, by our very nature, love sinning. It's fun and it seems like everything is fine. You like sinning and you just can't help yourself. Whatever your doing, you like it because it complies with your nature as a sinner. I tell you, surely, that fun is going to stop and unrepentent people are going to have a nasty reality check when they personally face God on Judgement Day.
God gives people chance after chance to beocme right with him. There are those who would be so rebellious against God that the time comes when their heart is like stone in their chests'. That is when the final judgement of God's holy Law falls upon them and they perish.
God wishes for no one to perish and will not let you go without a fight, but he will let someone go their own way if they are stubborn and rebellious about having it their way. God wishes for you not to perish and will not let you go with out a fight, yet you will be allowed to go your own way to believe the empty lies of the world that are contrary to His Word.
Let me ask you, do you consider yourself a good person? Let's see if that is true:
Have you ever told a lie? It only takes one lie to make a person a liar.

By this examination, it can be determined that your a lying, theiving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart.
If God were to judge you by the Ten Commandments, would you be innocent or guilty of breaking them? It is obvious that all people have broken the Ten Commandments.
So, by that standard of judgement, would you go to Heaven or to Hell?
The Bible says in Revelation that all liars, theives, adulterers, murderers, etc. (transgressors of the law) have their part in the lake of fire.
The question is, do you know what God did so you wouldn't have to go to Hell? He sent His Son, born of a woman, to die on the cross for your sins.
Sin means breaking God's perfect Law. He suffered a most horrible and excruciating death just for you, so that you could have the opportunity to be made right with God. Jesus voluntarily took your place because of his love for you.
Jesus said this, " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:16-21)

thanks everyone, but its just not that easy. i know what im doing wrong i know waht i need to stop. but i just dont want to. i want to be excpeted and this seems the way. its dirty and gross, but fills in a hole..and it hurts a lot sometimes, but other times it feels the best way..

Freaked out, insecure, neurotic and Emotional
Lot's of us here have had similar expeiences to that which you outline above. The difference is that you have an awareness that what you are doing is only going to cause you pain in the long term. Instant gratification can feel really good, but the long term effect's can be damaging...it's really difficult when you want to 'belong' and to feel accepted, to turn away from thing's that you know are hurting or will at some future time.janelle123 said:

I will lift you ip in prayer with my church family. Remember also to pray for yourself. God answers the saints prayers as He will yours. He wants genuine confession from you. "Sin will be enjoyed for a season" but Gods love will be enjoyed for an eternity.

Dear lord,
please help Kateena in what she is going through. she continues to sin, and Satan is getting to her. We cannot let him win her soul. Place Your mighty hand on her and send her in the direction to go. Follow her through the day and tell her when its something not good for her. Give her some good solid people to help ehr and get her out of her sin. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.

This is the key to your problem right here, you just don't want to. All the people can and should pray for you, but until you turn away your self, you will bring more pain to your self, and this you already know by your own words..............Seek God with all your heart until you find him.

Janelle, you can ask God to change your desires, to change you to want to please Him and ask Him to give you new desires and a love for righteousness. Ask Him for His help, He can help you. Then seek Him more and more. Force yourself to read the bible and start obeying New Testament things. Your obedience and His faithfulness will bring change into your life. He will help if you seek Him. He did this for me, I know He can do it for you, if you are truly open to Him. It took a solid year and half before He answered my prayer to love the bible, now I can't live without it. Read it and obey it, but first ask Him to help you and ask Him for specific helps, but you must be open to Him and be willing to let Him help you.
Yes, our flesh loves sin, but He can give you His Holy Spirit and He can help you not give in to your fleshly desires. He can help you, just ask Him. Ask Him to forgive you and change you, He has answered that prayer for so many, myself included. Then learn His ways and ask Him to help you obey Him. He can forgive you of your sins, because Jesus paid the price for them, your lies, your theft, covetousness, adulteries, idolateries, selfishness, hatred, etc. God knows we are weak, I believe that's why He is now giving His Holy Spirit to those who seek Him, because His Spirit gives us the power to overcome.
Our flesh loves to sin against God, but with God, He will help you stop it, if you turn to Him with your whole heart and strive to obey the one who is taking the punishment for your sins, Jesus. If not, you are going to reap what you are sowing. The consequences are going to come. Sin reaps death. And then the Bible says the punishment for lies, theft, wickedness is a lake of fire (Rev 21:8).
You already seem to know your sins are going to cause you big trouble, you are just asking for the consequences. Don't do that to yourself, and to your future. I made so many terrible mistakes before I came to the Lord, fortunately He has forgiven me, because I was terrible. But my theft brought theft to me, I stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff from work and stores, and later I was robbed twice of all my belongings, not including many times little things here and there, like car stereos repeatedly and my computer, all stolen from me, but I was also a thief. That's just one example, I was also homeless at the age of 19 because of my stupid choices, and I was in jail at 21, fortunately only for a couple hours. My husband is practically a career criminal, he is still a slave to sin, last I heard he was in prison. All sin leads to death, not everyone has the chance to make a death bed confession, seek God while you can, tomorrow is promised to no one, just ask the family members of the World Trade Center tragedy. Turn to God and then read the New Testament to get to know Him, He will help you and change you if you ask Him and truly seek to please Him. The Creator of all things is certainly worth your attention. Thank you, I am praying for you.

Just remember Janelle, the thing that sets humans apart is free-will. Next time you start to fall into the trap of sin and the red light comes on, STOP and turn around. Excercise your God-given free-will. I know it's incredibly hard but it is possible. Christ wipes our slate clean, so all our sin can be forgotten. There is no need to linger on the past or how you gave in to sin all those times.. What counts is what we are and what we desire to be. It's great that you desire to stop.. You're definately on the track.

Just hang in there, girl the first step to getting yourself out is knowing that something is wrong.

Remember, sin breeds circumstance. We cannot overcome the world on our own. Only thru a committment to Christ can we conquer our flesh. Sometimes we have to change our whole envoirnment in order to be free.
