Hello I'm not sure where this goes because I'm kinda panicking because I know swearing is a sin and I crossed my heart saying I would never to it again and I broke that. So I looked up the Def to the saying and it says if you brake the oath/promise when you crossed your heart bad things will happen to you! Will god forgive me? Or will be things happen to me?

I'm pretty sure God will forgive you for that. I've made promises like that and ended up breaking them and I turned out ok. It's good that your trying to refrain from that I think everybody could benefit if we didn't use hateful words towards others, but we're only human we make mistakes.

Yes, God will forgive you. But I do have some advice for you: Don't make promises and vows like that any more to God. Both Jesus and James gave specific commandments against doing so (Matthew 5:34; James 5:12). The reason is precisely because of what you are experiencing now. It affects your confidence in God, and your relationship with Him. And it was of your own doing, because you unnecessarily placed a burden on yourself God never asked you to. You are human, which means in your weakness you are fully capable of reneging on any promise you make, and simply swearing not to do something contained no power to change that fact. Instead, it only put you under guilt.

Receive forgiveness, and move on with God. Whatever matter led you to make a promise that you subsequently broke, that will probably take the power and wisdom of God in order to fix. But don't set yourself up for burdens and guilt. That will only take you weaker in the fight, not stronger.

God bless,
HiH

You speak about God, friend, but what I would be interested in knowing is whether you have received the Lord Jesus into your heart and life as your Savior, are devoted to Him as Lord of your life, and trusting Him daily. If that has not happened, you will not have a real and sure relationship with God. From what you said, I don't see that you are saved as a "child of God" as the Bible teaches (John 3:16). Be sure, friend, that you are saved and not just trying to obey and follow God's ways.

Read John 1; John 3; John 14 as starters, to see what God means to you. Then I recommend you read all of the four Gospels and the Epistle to the Romans in your Bible. Pray to God about it all, then you might see the truth and enter into the "Kingdom of God", and be greatly blessed and have God's care to overcome fleshly ways. This is speaking of a personal relationship with the Lord. I will pray for you.

You might read also in Eccl. 5 in the Old Testament about God's mind for making rash promises, Json.
