• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I need help please. I'm seeing a psychologist fortnightly but I feel really really really broken that I feel I need more help than this even though seeing the psychologist is helpful. Does anyone know of any places or people that could help me please? I recently heard of Careforce Lifekeys so I'm looking into that. I heard about Mercy Ministries which sounds fantastic but I don't know if that's only for ppl suffering from eating disorders or not. Anyway, I'm married and my husband and I wouldn't want to be apart from each other like that for months! I need a place a bit like Mercy Ministries that is for males and females and treats ppl with depression. It would be great if the place was christian. PLEASE HELP ME! :help:

Tsuriyel, check with your local churches. They're usually aware of the local resources available to you and they'll be willing to help you. I'm not sure if a stroll through the yellow pages would do any good for that, but I'd start with the local churches.

~,~ Lord, comfort and guide our sister to a place of treatment where she and her husband can be together and they can get the help they need to meet their needs. Lord, I pray you bring happiness to them and shine in their lives that others may see your glorious hand present within them. We praise you Lord and we love you. These things we ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.

You'll be in my prayers.

Hey tsur,
Mery Ministries is for hurting girls and young women. They help girls with everything not just pregnancy or eating disorders.. u should look into it again. Here's the section more about that. I hope it helps ya! You can also email them your questions if u have any. MM is a Christian based residental place.

We serve young women from across the country with varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The young women coming to Mercy Ministries are facing a combination of difficult circumstances such as:

Abuse

Self-Harm

Depression

Addictions

Unplanned Pregnancy

Eating Disorders

Many of these girls have been in other treatment facilities with unsuccessful long-term results. Our residents are young women who want to change and move beyond their debilitating circumstances, yet have never found a source for help. Young women come to Mercy Ministries on a voluntary basis and no one is forced to stay in the program against her will. The average stay of our residents is 6-9 months. Our services within the program reflect the diverse needs of our residents.

I can imagine this must be so difficult for you right now-hold in there, please. From what I read you are also wening off anti-depressants now? or were? That could make the situation even more hard to bear, but you can do it-be strong, and hold on to Him. Trust Him now, and if you need a friend, you have one. :)
