Circumcision “This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.” — Genesis 17:10
“…if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.” — Galatians 5:2
2 different things they said, first you need to do it then if you do it Christ shall profit me nothing, and i am circumcised, it was not my fault, i got it when i was born.
Here's a great video explaining about Spiritual warfare.
Once you've learned this info about spiritual warfare including how demons sometimes manifest in people by speaking exotic languages like Aramaic that the human person has no knowledge of you cannot repeat standard objections like no one has ever seen anything like that. based on what you're seeing I think you should listen to the video and discern whether you have really experienced demonic activity . If you have really been as you say “fighting with demons” then don't doubt your Christian faith. You have something much better than a few narrow form criticisms you've actually experienced something most atheists are unwilling to admit even exists!
Scripture manifests its power/inspiration when you see the action of the Holy Spirit happening across the entire Canon of scripture making up the Bible. For example, many times when I meditate upon the Old Testament I am able to see the reasons why humanity sins in the same patterns over and over again. This is a form of wisdom. That is one of awesome things about scripture it gives us the ability when we read it to see human life and history from God's perspective. The circumcision “contradiction" is in my opinion only an example of not understanding how the Bible works. it's not just a newspaper or a list of facts or rules but tells a story the story of human history which reaches its highest point in when Jesus Christ comes and fulfills and surpasses the Old Testament laws.
The Catholic Catechism of the Catholic Church really does an excellent job explaining about the different kinds of meaning that we find in scripture.
“The literal sense is the meaning conveyed by the words of Scripture and discovered by exegesis, following the rules of sound interpretation: "All other senses of Sacred Scripture are based on the literal." 83
117 The spiritual sense. Thanks to the unity of God's plan, not only the text of Scripture but also the realities and events about which it speaks can be signs.
(1) The allegorical sense. We can acquire a more profound understanding of events by recognizing their significance in Christ; thus the crossing of the Red Sea is a sign or type of Christ's victory and also of Christian Baptism. 84
(2) The moral sense. The events reported in Scripture ought to lead us to act justly. As St. Paul says, they were written "for our instruction". 85”
(3) The anagogical sense (Greek: anagoge, "leading"). We can view realities and events in terms of their eternal significance, leading us toward our true homeland: thus the Church on earth is a sign of the heavenly Jerusalem. “
A spiritual sense or meaning of the words of scripture can have a hidden original meaning placed there by the Holy Spirit. For example the book of Job says in reference to Jesus Christ as Redeemer
“For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at last he will stand upon the earth;[c]
26 and after my skin has been thus destroyed,
then from[d] my flesh I shall see God,[e]
27 whom I shall see on my side,[f]
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
My heart faints within me!”
Similarly, a spiritual meaning can be detected behind David’s literal scriptural words of mourning over the death of his son physical son Absalom.
Additionally, there are numerous passages within the Bible that literally refer to Jesus Christ.
Zachariah 14 is a wonderful messianic prophecy of Christ and one of the amazing things is that much of the fulfillment of that prophecy still lies in the future. Jesus fulfilled the following literal messianic prophecies
““My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow my ordinances and be careful to observe my statutes. 25 They shall dwell in the land where your fathers dwelt that I gave to my servant Jacob; they and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there for ever; and David my servant shall be their prince for ever. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will bless them and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.” (Ezekiel 37:24-26 RSV)
“But there will be no gloom for her that was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zeb′ulun and the land of Naph′tali, but in the latter time he will make glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
2 The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light …”
“6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government will be upon his shoulder,
and his name will be called
“Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end,
upon the throne of David, and over his kingdom,
to establish it, and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and for evermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. (Isaiah Chapter 9 RSV)
“He was despised and rejected[a] by men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;[c]
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”
“4 Surely he has borne our griefs[d]
and carried our sorrows;[e]
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that made us whole,
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all. “…
“Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great,
and he shall divide the spoil with the strong;
because he poured out his soul to death,
and was numbered with the transgressors;
yet he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors””
(Isaiah 53 RSV)
Some scholars are claim that these verses in the original context refer to God's restoration of the people of Israel and the rebuilding of a second Temple. Against that opinion I would quote check 2nd Maccabees which reveals that the Jewish community a few hunderd years before Jesus considered these messianic prophecies of return unfulfilled.
“For we have hope in God that he will soon have mercy upon us and will gather us from everywhere under heaven into his holy place, for he has rescued us from great evils and has purified the place.”(2nd maccabees 2)
Anyway I hope this little lesson resolves your worries and launches you more deeply into the journey of understanding your faith
God Bless
