  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

:groupray: I need everyones help, please help me. Im married, but what I didnt say is that my husband is in prison. Thats not the point. Yesterday my mother in law, my two kids and I went to the prison to see him. At the end of the visit she started cryin and said bye to my husband. He asked me why she's been cryin at the end of the last few visits. I told him I didnt know. Well, after we left the car started to mess up, we pulled into the closest gas station and she called her sister. She started crying, sayin she couldnt take life anymore. She told her sister that today was the day she came in and the day she wanted to go out{7-07-07 was her birthday} she asked me to make sure that I took care of my husband. Her sister judy came to pick me and my kids up to take us home because his mother was afraid to drive on the highway. She came around the car and told me to take care of him while she was hugging me. I found out this morning that last night she sat in her car all night and she tried to OD on pills. She went to her sister's thismorning and her sister called the cops. Her sister told me that she's been thinking about suicide for the past week. She had two jobs but quit one because she was doing all the work, she complained and they wouldnt do anything. Now she's haveing trouble paying her bills and she said she cant take it no more. I've been prayin for her but I would like everyone else to :prayer: pray for her to, her name's Debbie. If you could help pray for her I would appreciate it, thanks.

I am so sorry for all of you. I've been there myself and my life wasn't as hard as hers. I'll give my testimony in a separate thread but for here I will say that up until the day I accepted Christ I was planning my own suicide. Now I look back and really wonder why. The reason I put this here is to give you hope. Christ brought me back from the brink and can do it for her. He is hope personified, deified, crucified, and resurrected.
Maybe that's why my change was so profound and why I love Him so much. He very literally saved my life not only in this world but the next as well. Never give up and always pray. God not only can but will work miracles. If He did it for me He can do for her as well.
God bless and I will remember all of you in my prayers.
