Since the only radio station in the area that carries modern Christian music closed down a few years ago, I'm very out of touch w/ the new Christian music that's out. I would like to get some new CD's (all I do now is listen to the ones I have over and over and over.....). To help you understand the kind of music I like, I'll give you a few examples of songs I like:
Flood by Jars of Clay
Show Me Your Glory by Third Day (I like ALLOT of their stuff)

Well, I thought I could think of more, but that's all I got for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Come Down by Matt Bayless is good, and it's that style
any Phillips, Craig, and Dean CDs are good
can't think of any others of that style right now

and if you like Christian Rock:
any Petra CDs are good
Brace Yourself for the Mediocre by Roper is one of my favorites

13thDesciple: Thanks for the suggestions. I do like rock and will have to give those you mentioned a try. Before I was saved I liked to listen to STP, Pearl Jam, Metallica, etc. Now I would like to find some Christian music along those lines (but w/ good lyrics).

Tait is WONDERFUL! He's 1/3 of dc talk, if that gives you any indication.

Judging by your examples, you might like Casting Crowns, Casting Pearls, Paul Colman Trio/Paul Colman's solo cd called Let It Go, of course newsboys, Sarah Kelley, Big Daddy Weave, and Jadon Lavik.

IF you go for harder tuff, you'll like Thousand Foot Krutch, Building 429, Toby Mac (another 1/3 of dc talk), Audio Adrenaline, or Hawk Nelson. Actually I'd still recommend Audio A to you, pick up Bloom cd or Lift.

What's wrong with Metallica's lyrics?
