maybe, probably, but I tend to become overwhelmed with FOMO (fear of missing out) which prevents me from even enjoying the here and now
Those who have FOMO really do miss out.

I had a dog once who suffered greatly from FOMO whenever she was in the car. She would look out one window to see what was on that side, then she would quickly bounce to the other side for fear she was missing something.
I soon gave her the name "Little miss bouncy". With all this going back and forth she missed out on seeing several squirrels which is what she really wanted to see.

You should realize that you have the greatest treasure inside of you that anybody could want. 2 Corinthians 4:7 Colossians 1:27

last year I went to a summer camp and it was the highlight of my year, this year I don't have the money to go and also can't attend for personal reasons. Im absolutely devastated by it. the word of God tells us not to dwell on things that are not true, but it is true that I will be missing out

what promise of God can I hold on to in this situation?
Don't make this summer about yourself. There will be plenty of opportunities for fellowship for the rest of your life. If you are doing God's will then focus your heart on doing it at home this season. God will lead you the way he wants you to go. Make this time off about making the sacrifice made by Jesus and His love for us visible to those around you. We serve God, God does not serve us. In turn blessings will flow to a repentant, loving, giving heart.

When Lord closes one door there is always a open door to go through. Perhaps you are too focused focused on what is behind you are not as watchfull as required to jump on a new opportunity. Rejoice in what is ahead. Rejoicing confirms positive expectation through faith/trust that Lord Spirit is leading you into something for growth. Old things must pass away resulting in decreasè before increase of new and better ways. Set you focus on your partnership. Ask a question from your heart to establish hope and rejoice in the forthcoming anewer. Be sure to have a KINGDOM focus including all local saints of all denominations. Example: ask for revelation. I ask a blessing on our corporate ody for revelation of-----------? You choose.

The Book and life of Daniel is great to remember we can be in the middle of a very bad place like a Lion's den or fiery furnace and God can be found. Yes camp is a place that is unlike any other and it fills our Spirit . I pray you are where God wants at this time and can have that camp experience no matter where you are...

Strong's concordance gives over 30 variations of us of worship. One of them is to draw neat as a dog liking his masters face. Think on this: a loyal dog always comes back to his master in almost all circumstances.in expectation of their bieng together. Not That God is beating you up. But He may be testing your redonse to a mmatter for iintegrity and or FAITH FULLness. A dog must be forgetting or forgiving or both. To forget may have meaning of FORGETTING ONLY the PIANE associated with an event. We must maintain some memory to be cautious not to repeat the negative event over again. Question LORD SPIRIT IS NEVER STANDING STILL. AS THE WIND AS LORD IS THE very air we breath So are all the works of His hands for BUILDING OUR KINGDOM on earth for US ÀLL TO ENJOY.

I sometimes have had difficulty finding something to look forward to. The Lord has given me quite a few things. If we obey his commandments, we know we are safe and that we are people of integrity, deserving of respect. And there are certain activities I enjoy.

I am not sure what you mean by you need a word? If you mean a direct word for God, I feel He is saying "You need to rest", if you mean a scripture, then I would say focus on the verse "be anxious for nothing, but in all things with prayer and supplications with thanks giving let your requests be made known to God".

Hi Ben. I'm sorry you're unable to attend camp this summer. It seems like a godly desire to go and it's not bad that you are upset. However, I can think of a couple things that might bring you closer to God/make you happier while you are not at camp.
1) get alone in the word. Realize that God still wants to grow you outside of Bible camp. Realize what He can truly do. God loves it when we get alone with Him.
2) count your blessings. Your desire to go to camp is a good one and it's not bad that you're upset, but counting your blessings can cheer you up. Remind yourself "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!" And then praise God for all the good things in your day/life. Even basic things. I can see, I have eyes to ear, I'm in good health, I'm thankful for my family. I need to work on this one too.
3) thankfulness leads to contentment. Try to find joy in your day to day routine.
Hope that even though you aren't going to camp, your week will be filled with joy and spiritual growth! Each day is a gift, and I hope you can live to the fullest.
Blessings.
