  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I need a vacation! I have 100 vacation hours. There is never a perfect time to take one. I complain about it all the time, poor me can't take a vacation. I almost have it all worked out and I have researched and maybe able to go 1/27. However, now that its time to book, I'm gripped with fear. Is it God's voice or the enemy?

Resting is good...God invented it and modeled it for us.

The only way a vacation is evil is if you hurt someone by going on it or by what you choose to do with your time.

So...if you aren't using someone's food money or planning on partying in a godless style...then go in peace. Have some days to refresh your soul, body, and mind so that you can come back to your normal routine with a refreshed attitude.

(And share what you did with us so we can experience it too. :) )

Thanks you guys! Its booked I'm going to Roatan Honduras. I'm not going to do anything wrong. It's just with all the responsibities, job, kids...all the balls in the air. My biggest fear is the earh is going to spin off its axis if I drop a ball. So, I have everything lined up, everything is taken care of.

The problem is that my ex-husband is watching the kids (ages 18 and 6) and I don't trust him. But they will be fine. They will be fed and have a place to stay. I think in 6 years the kids problably have spent three nights with him (and that is a stetch - it was probably 1 or 2). In 10 years I have not gone out on New Years Eve because I believe kids need to be supervised and if I don't do it, who will? In 10 years I have probably spent 4 nights away from them and that was not 4 nights in a row. It was 1 night 1 year, 2 nights 3 years later and another night.

The problem is the issues that arise at work... but it will all be there when I get back. It is the right thing to do and should've been done a long time ago.

Good for you self ...
See how this goes, and of it goes OK, then think about it time for you to live a little. Ya, your going to be there for the kids, but your also going to get out once in a while.

I've been to Roatan for a day .. Norwegian Cruise lines. Have a good time.
