  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I need a prayer please.

My girlfriend and I are both in a National Guard unit that has been activated to deploy over seas. Now I have been seperated from her and a military doctor will decide if I will be allowed to go back to my unit. The truth is that I have been very lonely for all my life (22 years), and I finally found someone who I really care about and now I'm 500 hundred miles from her and I have a chance of not seeing her again. I have asked God to let me return...and I know it's up to him. Though it dosent' sound like a life or death issue, it is tormenting me like I have never experienced. A prayer that God will let me see her again would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I will be praying for you 2. I know what your going thru as my wife left 2 years ago and we were divorced a year ago but I still love her and miss her very much. These are the times when we need to reach out to the Lord. Draw close to Him and He will draw close to us. His word says so. I believe we are left alone at times to do just that. I have grown to totally depend on God now and to seek Him above all other relationships and I find peace and joy each day.
God bless you and we are proud of both of you for giving to our country.
