Ok, good because I have my eye on a delicious, large fluffy cat right now. He has green eyes...almond shaped...white eyeliner - and a gleam in his little eye. This cat is worthy to be drenched in kisses.

Yup. Sell Christmas card when you're like 6 years old, have a cat rub all over you while you're ringing the doorbell, pet it and have it tear you apart, scarring you for life.

Humanly speaking, it's easier to love/be loved by one which we are not in competition with... "brother" competes for same parents attention, while friend, has their own parents.

Hence, pets which are not vying against us, (as many of our social/human peers may be/appear to be), are easier to befriend or "like".

Yet, while "easy" often offers some respite, it can also leave us without needed refining trials and lessons learned in loving the difficult to love, who are often those who desperately need love's healing salve the most.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
