I’m planning on going to a new hair salon and I was looking at their website. It has the names, pictures, bios etc. of their stylists. I noticed that two or three male stylists had he/him behind their names. At first I thought it seemed odd but it didn’t occur to me what it meant. Then I remembered it means they’re transsexuals, but I Googled it to be sure. These women’s pictures really look like men. They had me fooled. Has anyone here ever had an experience like this?

Well, in this strange world we live in, he/him could refer to someone born as a male and "identifies" as male, or someone born as a woman, but identifies as a "male" either by transexual conversion or just by identity. Some of my co-workers use these pronouns in email signatures (I will never do that), even though my co-workers identify with the sex assigned at birth.

Take me back to 2012, where none of this pronoun stuff existed. This 2020s society is woke, and I am not liking it.

Some people still use "preferred pronouns" even if they are their biological sex.

I don't know why.

they want to be "inclusive"
