If you tell someone that you support the theory of evolution, chances are very good that they'll say something a long the lines of "What! So you think all of this just came from NOTHING?! You think humans came from DIRT?!"

But no...it's only creationists that think that everything came from nothing and humans came from dirt. Humans came from apes just like crows came from birds.

Dirt, not exactly. Apes, this is a common mistake too. It just suggests that humans and apes have a common ancestor. Its like regular house cats and lions.

To be fair, theists believe we came from nothing in a more literal sense (god just made us.), or LITERALLY dirt. (Adam was created from dirt)

You are mixing up the burden of proof.
You are an atheist too. Do you have proof that Gia doesn't exist? How about the dragon in my garage? Your dis-belief in Zeus makes you an atheist too. By your logic, that means you have two religions. NOT JUST TWO THOUGH! thousands.

Let me explain the burden of proof. It is not my job as an atheist to disprove god to justify my lack of belief. It is your job to prove god, that will debunk my belief. If there is no proof of something, there is no reason to believe it. If there is proof, then it is logical to believe it.

when someone says someone did something or is whatever, people expect proof. take a crime for example. "JOE IS A CRIMINAL" (positive statement, just like "god exists". as aposed to a negative statement that requires no proof like "joe is not a criminal" or "god doesn't exist")
In court, the prosecuting attorney doesn't have to prove that every single other person in the world is innocent. It only takes one person and enough proof to convince the jury that that person is guilty. Your say your god exists. prove it.

Prove that there is no dragon in my garage and I will believe you. Actually, prove that there is no dragon in your living room, and I will believe in god.
GO AHEAD. I dare you to try and prove that there is no dragon in your living room.

or you could try to prove that every single other religion AND scientific theory of how everything was created is wrong. that will prove christianity right.

Sorry, dude, you've got it wrong. The burden of proof would be on me if I started this thread stating there is a God. But I didn't. It's your thread and you said there's no God, so the burden of proof is on YOU!
