I've built him a big cage to live in until the hutch I ordered online arrives. Beep Beep is a baby, but I made sure to buy the biggest hutch that would work in my home to make sure he (or she) has plenty of room to run around and play.
I also make sure to play with him so that he gets used to being handled and loved on. Fortunately, he likes to play and snuggle so I think he'll be quite the social companion. And he and my dog get along, my dog likes to snuggle and Beep Beep likes to climb on the dog. But I certainly wouldn't let them be together unsupervised, just in case.
Anyway, I've read that you can litter train bunnies. Does anyone have any tips on how to do that?
Any other tips on how to ensure my bunny is a happy and healthy bunny love are appreciated as well. My dog's vet is looking up vets they feel comfortable recommending for my bunny, so I'll make sure to ask them also.
What sorts of toys do bunnies like best? Right now he has one of those cardboard tubes he can chew on or sleep in, a couple of wooden blocks and a sissal carrot. But I anticipate he'll be in his cage a lot when I'm out of the house and want to make sure he doesn't get bored.
Anyway, I appreciate any tips and suggestions on making sure I'm the best bunny mommy possible. I've had a bunny before, but it was several years ago so I don't know if I remember everything or if new things have been developed to make happy bunnies.
Thanks!
