They have peace and love for us.

Okay so I am different and it is what it is.

Animals have the breath of life to be animated.

Souls are judged but spirits are not.
Animals don’t have judgment.
But they have an eternal spirit. Because spirit is not destructible.


This is why he’ll is the second death albeit eternal.

Where the animals go we don’t know.
But it’s likely that innocent of judgment will be at peace from the Lord.

That makes sense theologically.

I am so sorry for our loss, many of my pets have crossed the Rainbow bridge and it never gets any easier. I truly think that we will see them again. My dear mother, who was a devout Catholic, always said that our animals are love and that God is love, so of course we will see them again, it will be so wonderful.

We had our dog put down last April (not the only one - there are three dogs and a cat buried in the backyard). His back legs packed up on him.

Sometimes when I walk near the gravesite I get this sense of a dog jumping around and having a whale of a time. At least the local lizards are getting more adventurous - the little tyke used to hunt them.

It could just be imagination, but I know that we'll answer for how we treat them and animals in general, along with the rest of God's creation.

For example I think God meant fossil fuel reserves were to last for centuries, but we've managed to burn up a significant percentage in a little over a century. We've designed our cities so we burn as much as possible, and have this ideology to consume, consume and consume.

I heard from my former priest. I told Him that our Daphne died last week and asked if dogs go to heaven and if I’ll see her there. He said “yes, so you better be good”, lol. I told him “I will and if I’m not, I’ll go to Confession.”

Me too. And just the thought that she’s young again and not sick, running around with her doggy sister comforts me, as well.
