• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. One step at a time Anjelica...if we could but steal a glimpse of the spiritual world, I am sure we would see Angels abound in the hospital and Christ Himself...what a comfort to know they are there...and He will be there for you and IS...*hugs*...breathe in...hold it...breathe out...let Christ's calming come over you...feel the Holy Spirit's calming presence soothe you...

Anjelica, We are all here for you praying that God will calm your fears and surround you with His healing presence.
Lord you know the tremendous problems the medical staff has while trying to insert the needles into Anjelica's veins for chemotherapy. Please gently guide the needle into her vein to keep her from having to have numerous painful attempts to start the chemo. Let your healing power flow through her veins to prevent them from becoming so inflammed and painful after the treatment.
Please continue to give her the strength and courage to trust and believe that she will win this battle against cancer. Lord nothing is impossible with You and I am trusting that you will restore her health.
Thank you Lord for all you have done for her and the great things that you are about to do! In Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen

Bloods done!!!! Praise God. The veinj rolled away but the nurse found it again. Chemo tomorrow thank you so much to all of you. I could not have done this without your support. It seems to get worse the nearer to the end of chemo I get. It feels like I have been climbing Everest without oxygen for the last6 months. I know in my heart of hearts that it is only God that enabled me to keep going and the wonderful thing is that I have been able to witness to 2 of the nurses about God during my chemo sessions. One said she did not mind if I prayed for her. Her name is Karen and she is the ward sister. Hopefully she will be doing my chemo tomorrow. The other nurse is called Julie and she is Karen's deputy please pray for both of them.

Hi anjelica, I'm so happy to hear this good news!! Jesus answered the prayers and he will guide them again tomorrow to have good results, too. You are so brave to go through this as you have for 7 mos. You are a strong woman and you don't even know it. But you are and with Jesus making you that strong woman. God bless you. I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Lord please bless Anjelica in amazing ways today during her chemotherapy treatment. Let your healing power flow through her veins and make it possible for the medical staff to gently find a vein to use for chemo.
Calm her fears and surround her with complete peace.

Praying for you dear. May the Lord surround you with His love and peace. May every procedure go smoothly and effortlessly, and most of all may you feel no pain. We pray for complete healing Jesus. Thank you once again to everybody you are all so very kind. Chemo is done and I am now back home in my bed. Feeling very tired - I had to wait in the reception area for 3/4 hour before they took me in which is difficult as I am so phobic about hospitals. When they took me in it took 6 attempts to get the cannula in as my veins kept rolling away. It took almost an hour to do the job finally and it was painful but the nurses helped a lot by telling me how brave I was being - they were very patient. Everything else went OK after that and Julie shared with me that she does go to church but I could not work out whether she has had a living encounter with Jesus or not. She goes mainly because she does Brownies. She has been going there for 17 years and I know it was a church hit very strongly by the charismatic movement - So who knows about Julie?? Karen was not there today. I would love to say something to each of you individually - you are all so precious.

God bless you and I will keep popping in, at least hubby will on my behalf
