another believer, bordering on strong dislike, maybe hatred. This person has crossed me, used my intellectual property without my consent and has no conscience when it comes to taking my stuff - as she feels entitled. She is aware I am not okay with being used and taken advantage of. We worked for a few weeks together but that has ended. She does not have rights to use any intellectual property I've authored. No agreement was discussed which would allow her to continue using my property beyond our short partnership.

It's eating me up. I felt God tell me to chill out and that He'd handle it, but I still can't stop wanting to take legal action. She and I do not speak at all, my choice. It's a given, in my mind, that since our partnership has ended, that my stuff is mine - she needs to make her own.

This is eating me up. I feel crossed, preyed upon, dishonered. I want to file a DMCA which would force her to take down my property off the internet. I have no desire to talk with her. She has already shown me her true colors, so I don't see the point. I just want to let it go and move on...but I cannot have her hijacking my property and selling it online...and she will.

I'm at my wits end. Maybe this post doesn't make sense since it's nearly 3am, and I'm tired, but I know that the law is on my side if I need to file the neccessary forms to stop her from using my branded property. Which is not a lawsuit...its just a nudge to get another person to remove copyrighted material from the internet.

I can't seem to get past this..

That is... I'm really sorry this has happened :(

Maybe the Lord just needs to you calm down before you move forward? You need to rest in Him before you're in the right mind to take legal actions. But if God has told you not to take legal actions, then don't. You may not know how the Lord will work this out for something much bigger. But if you take legal action, don't do it in a way that'll bring shame to Christ.

I'll be praying.

you've heard from God about what to do and He's never wrong - but if you can see it from a different perspective where the personal hurt isn't so overwhelming, it might be easier for you to follow God's leading. what advice would you give to a Christian you don't know personally, who's in this same situation? how would you answer if this was someone else's post that you don't know?

ultimately, you must focus on the fact that this person is yielded to the devil and probably doesn't even know it - it's the devil attacking you through them - he's your real enemy - what he really wants is to cause you to react to the pressure he's applying through this spiritually ignorant person - this proves to him that he has influence over you to some degree - resist him, and he will flee from you.

God is going to handle this matter, then you do need to
calm yourself and move in a different direction, than one
that is focused on "revenge". When something is consuming
you it keeps you from living the abundant life in Christ.
You are focused on getting back at her, can you see it's
actually hurting you spiritually and emotionally? No doubt
it's effecting your Christian witness?

God wants you to "chill out" -- calm yourself, then work
towards doing that. Trust God to act justly.

Put into action forgiveness.
Hold high the banner of truth, after it's on your side.

Her heart is darkened by greed and she needs a lot of
prayer, God is near you and has said He's going to take
care of things-- step out in faith, trust and BELIEVE what God
has made known to you.

You can do this.

It's about betrayal, respect...it's about being preyed on, used as a tool to get something...so yeah betrayal I guess. When I did finally step up and put an end to the thing officially, lots of accusations were made against me.

Today I see that my stuff is flying high on her domain. My hard work, my guts, my brand...being branded into someone elses brand.

The thing is...in this industry (internet marketing) everyone steals. I mean 90% of the people in this industry TEACH each other to rip others off...I've been ripped off so many times I can't think straight. Millions of dollars have been made as a result of my contributions. Most of that money was made by people who ripped my stuff off, ripped my brand off and bypassed me. So, when this person came along and pretended to be a nice person, a morally upright, compassionate Christian woman, I fell for it. She is just the last straw on a long list, but the hardest part is that she used God to do what she did.

I really hope I can move past this quickly, it's eating me alive.

I'm working on it all. I know this is hurting me. This woman WANTED to hurt me, and she did. She wanted to use me, and she DID. All in the name of Jesus. She wanted me to be angry and betrayed. It was what she WANTED.

But I did feel God whisper to me that I need to chill and He will handle this. Again last night I was steaming over this and I felt God tell me he would handle it. It's hard to trust sometimes, especially when caught up in fury.

I appreciate you all reminding me to go by what God already told me to do.

That sucks man. But you know what you have. Integrity. It's better to have that to your name even if you have to be poor because God will provide you all the things you need.

And who knows, maybe God will even bless you in the end and make you the envy of all the crooks who tried to bring you down.

You know, that woman used that same exact scripture to try and manipulate me...right before she conned me. She said "it's better to be poor" ...

I'm just trying to make a living. This is my living and my art, so I am blessed because I do what I love most, create "art"...I get paid to be nutty and weird. I get paid to be myself. This is my living, and my digital art. I wanted to help others, and I did, but I made it very hard on myself because I was naive and did not think about all the people who would loot and bypass me. So in the end, people are helped, and I am in tears because I am not a clever person when it comes to rigging things in my favor. I was a naive person and I wanted to spread the wealth, but I know idea what I was doing then.

Right now I hate my life. All I did was HELP other people put food in their bowls...and in the end I'm crushed by people. And bitter. I would say I am bitter. Just bitter.

Listen to God.
He knows best.
God is the one who understands being taken advantage of
as He became a man and hung on a cross we deserved while
He was villified, stripped naked and tortured to death.

God doesn't want you to have a nervous breakdown over this.

God said to chill and put this into His hands.

How do you do this?

Pray for your enemies and turn hate into love as you BLESS them by asking
God to deliver them from evil and bring them closer to Christ.

Hope this helps you...

as long as you struggle to forgive, you'll be a victim; once you do forgive, you'll be a victor - that doesn't mean you have to like those who wrong you, just yield and let God love them through you.

it's wonderful to know that all of our sins have been paid for; but the other side of that coin is that all of everyone else's sins have been paid for too (even those who reject forgiveness); God isn't mad at her because of what Jesus did, and wants to show her selfless love through His sons and daughters - agree with Him - He can work it out. cast this on the Lord and refuse to think on it by replacing those thoughts with His words of forgiveness and protection.

Mat 5:43-48 KJV
(43) Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
(44) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
(45) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
(46) For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
(47) And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
(48) Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Ugh... online art. Are you at deviantart by chance? Many of my friends are artists like me and their stuff is always being ripped off and stolen. I gave up posting things online and only have it on my FB page where the stuff is limited to who can see it. Its one of onlines dark sides.

I've started "marking" my art with hidden initials that can't be seen at all unless you know where to look and what to do to see them. It has helped alot. Especially when I say stuff is marked because people avoid it. Legally online is a pain to take any action against anyone though.

No actually, it's not online art. But I worded it that way because for me it's the equal of being "artistic". But I know what you mean about people taking stuff online. It's seriously the worst problem. I have started to mark my stuff but people rip my mark out and sell or use it anyway. It's really a crazy thing that has happened. I can barely talk about it without getting angry. So,

anyway, I saw CounselorForChrist and I thought "OH NO, another self proclaimed counselor with "advice" and its in my thread, UGH. I was preapred for walls of out of context scripture and a few admonishments to REPENT.

Thankfully, it's you. :)

Yes, agreed 100%. But I gave up reasoning it out with her when I realized that she is playing games, and probably anything she said would be a part of the game. I've decided to move on and get over it. However long that takes.
I think when this happens we are supposed to talk to the person and see if we can straighten it out agreeably, if not the law is there for you.

Injustice is the worst. :mad:

"My companion stretched out his hand against his friends;
he violated his covenant.
His speech was smooth as butter,
yet war was in his heart;
his words were softer than oil,
yet they were drawn swords.

Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved.

But you, O God, will cast them down
into the pit of destruction;
men of blood and treachery
shall not live out half their days.
But I will trust in you." (Ps 55)

It sounds like you've already decided what to do, it just a question of getting through it now.

But remember! Our God will restore all things. Even this. So even if today makes you want to stick a fork in somebody's forehead, don't forget that God is working on this situation. It's in His hands.

May the Lord bring you justice and peace, sister.

If the whole world was Christian, there wouldn't be any dishonesty, especially in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ who would reign our world as king of the entire Earth. Our future reality with Jesus is definitely going to be a smooth business experience as our future-coming new minds of Christ will function on a genius level that will create ever-increasing new refreshing ideas that will skyrocket us to wealth and success through the measurement of joy, rather than the measurement of money:.
I don't think money will matter to us anymore when Jesus returns and transforms us as his royal brothers and sisters of Christ, meaning that everyone will practically own everything, so that means everything will be free, only because our new minds will be so focused on a neverending journey of unique wealth-creation ideas in businesses that we are so passionate for .;'*';.

For sure, money won't be an issue. That striving will end. That there is cause for celebration right now.
