  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For the last month of two I've been feeling almost depressed. I say almost because it comes and it goes. I'm not sure if it isan attack from Satan or if it's my Birth Control pills (For zits) that are making me moody. My guess is that it's an attack from Satan because my bf and I are getting baptised in a few weeks (Which I'm very excited for). Please pray that whatever it is that I will stop feeling this way.

Sounds to me love its a bit of both, yes the enemy will attempt to pressure on you as your coming up to baptism. As the depressions been for a while though, depending on the length of time youve been on this medication, it could be that. The body reacts in different ways on each person and many medications can cause depression, it is really worth seeing your doctor as with Birth Control medications, your Hormone levels could be becoming unbalanced meaning a different may be needed or different dose.

Lord I bring Amy to you, and although shes excited about the baptism, she is feeling depressed, I ask you'll guide her to the right place for help. If it is a the enemy Lord I claim the Blood of Christ over her in Jesus name protecting her at all times. Amen:pray:

As someone who has struggled with depression as well, I agree with Im-revived. You should see a medical professional. It most certainly could be an attack of Satan, but it can't hurt to get a medical opinion. Remember satan was allowed to physically harm Job and I believe that he (only with God allowing) can cause us to be chemically imbalanced for the mental aspect of us too. One thing that really helps me is a bit of excersize. Getting out and walking helps. This time of year (winter-northern hemnisphere), some people can be affected by S.A.D (Season affective dissorder) For some reason lack of light can effect us as well.

Father, Please help this beautiful daughter of yours as she struggles with depression. Help her body naturally heal. You know the cause of her depression, you know it's source. And you know how to help. Thank You for all that you do, in Jesus name~Amen.

Amy, I'd be honored to pray for you but could I just throw out some food for thought first?

Rather than an attack of Satan, do you think it's possible that God is allowing this? His word says that it's in our weaknesses that He is made strong.

I don't claim to speak for God, but do you think that God may be allowing this in order to bring you closer to Him, so that He can make His strength manifest in your life?

While you're going through this, remember to give thanks.

If it's from God, then thank Him for the opportunity this has given you to grow in Him.

If it's from the Devil, then thank God that Jesus' victory over the Devil has made a way for you to be victorious over this.

If it's a result of your medication, than thank God that it means your body is working properly.

Whatever the cause, just remember that the only difference between obstcle and opportunity is our attitude.

its depression nothing more if not why didnt satan hit you with scizophrenia which would have definetly halted your baptism

depression can cause unhealthy thoughts, when i was ill i swore i was possessed yet when i became healthy again i dismissed it as depression, depression = unreal fears

*PRAY FOR STRENGTH for this woman to seek medical help before her condition worsens although i pray THE CHRIST sees it does not,AMEN*
