I am 30 years old and treated as a child by my stepmother. Nothing I do is right. I cannot make a move without this woman pouncing on me. I live in Bedlam.

I have no friends. I am all alone.

There is nowhere for me to go.

It may be a sin to ask God to take me, but I really wish he would.

I've said the second part of your post to myself and to God many times in the past. There were times when I would pray he just take me even in my sinfulness just to end my misery. If you ever feel like coming to the city, I'll buy you a cup of coffee and we can hang out and talk.

Yes, I do have chant, however the volume of music is another issue...

I am welcome here as long as my presence of being here is not felt. In other words I should just lock myself in my room and not touch anything outside of my room or make my presence known. It makes for a very uncomfortable stay.

You might try getting a job. I mean, having some place where you have to go and where you can socialize with other people might really help you, even if they're only co-workers.

A good suggestion, but probably that one is easier said than done at this point. I've been trying to find a part time job while my shoulder heals for just something to do until I'm able to play again. Even the fast food places are laying people off.

I know how you feel! I'm also in a dark tunnel at the moment, with no light at the end... and every time there seems to be a glimmer of hope it's soon extinguished.

Having said that - at times like these prayer becomes hard , my prayer life is still not what it should be . All I can do , and do, is ask for mercy - for myself , for those around me and leave it in His hands.
