Anyone hear that you have to have a microsoft account to even be about to use a computer with this new windows 11? I had 4 work arounds to try obtaining just a local account on one but none worked so I sent the computer back. But I would love to have a spare laptop for windows 11 without the account so I have to hire a computer person to unbloat it and get around it somehow. I was trying to avoid the extra expense.

I still have a windows XP laptop, it works great but I keep it offline for other reasons, now you cannot even use the windows 11 laptop without the internet, without a work around (that works) and hasnt been patched before you get it into your hands. Thats so slimey.

You can load plenty of games to your laptop

I have an Android, but use an app called F-Droid (free app store that is open source, no Google, no Apple) to avoid some Google products, though I use Gmail and the search engine.

Mehta ruled that the Justice Department was right in saying that Google violated antitrust law by forging restrictive contracts with Apple and other phone makers that required them to install Google as the default search engine on smartphones.
