A few nights ago I had a dream about heaven and some person who was guiding me named "Cealeanda" <-- rough spelling?

It all started at school, I don't remember much about it but in the end I ended up in heaven somehow and I met Cealeanda who said she was my guide through the heavens and I saw heaven, it was beatiful but not exactly what I had ever imagined before, it was a large glowing city in the clouds to me. Dream ended shortly thereafter.

But why i'm here is I want to know if this means anything, i'm actually an Atheist and I never really think about religion and I get this dream, it just seems wierd...

Edit: I'd also like to note that I don't have the happiest life even though I have loving parents and great friends, I sometimes have random bouts of depression and confusion about some things...

Even on the most basic level few would argue that your dream mean that deep down you want more than what your current path or system of belief will allow.

So your saying that I shouldn't be concerned and go on with my life?
Sorry, but your grammar makes it slightly harder to understand what your saying ._.

"Even on the most basic level, few would argue, that your dreams mean that deep down, you want more than what your current path, or system of belief will allow."

This means:
1)That being an atheist does not provide you with an after life experience.

2)Dreams are sometimes considered an outlet for the subconscience. If this is the case then deep down (On a subconscience level) you want more than what your current system of belief allows. (an Afterlife)

So to recap,
You having a dream about heaven can be interperted as a subconscience cry for what you have been depriving yourself of. In short (Heaven) To expand; A Spiritual life. A relationship with God. More over since you are on a Christian Chat, a relationship with God through Christ.

Celanda on babynamesworld means actually 'heavenward'.

My husband and I have dreams all the time and sometimes they are things that are occuring in our lives and sometimes they are not. Sometimes others have had dreams about things going on in our lives. There is no way to rationally or scientifically explain what happens. But we believe it is one way for God to communicate with people. Even in the Bible, heaven is depicted as a city which is glowing that comes down from heaven for His people. My husband and I earnestly believe that God is trying to get your attention with an invitation. All the answers are found in the Bible and Y'shua (Jesus) of Nazareth is the One who has made a way for us to go to heaven. The Gospel of John is a good place to start but my husband and I sincerely hope you find what you're looking for. We're here to help.

My husband by the way is a former atheist and he had a dream when he was 15 about heaven and it turns out the visions of his dream matched the words of Daniel 7:14. Now my husband lives by faith and has had many dreams and other great works in the name of Y'shua (Jesus). The answers are definitely out there because God is a faithful God. Blessings to you this day!

You should definitely be concerned, and you have no choice but to go on with your life. You are now challenged to account for more than your current system of belief will allow. I have no idea how you will ultimately wind up doing that, but you might start by asking yourself where the image(s) in your dream came from? Have you ever seen it before?

I disagree with you. There doesn't have to be any qualifications for God to speak to someone. Why don't you ask Pilate's wife. She had a dream about Y'shua even though she dind't know who He truly was. God will have compassion on whom He will have compassion. if God wants to speak to Nathan, He will speak to Nathan. There is no qualifications necessary to come to God. HE is the One who does the calling.

I think you guys are right, I know a few things about dreams (i'm an occasional lucid dreamer) and that the average person will dream about what they long for. But where should I start? My parents are atheists and I doubt they would ever go to church =/, should I ask a friend at school about it? I have a few christain friends at school'

Also, sorry about my confusion with drich's comment.

By the way, Nathan, what did heaven look like in your dream? :)

I didn't see much, but when the person in my dream 'teleported' me there I was standing on a group of clouds that looked like a bunch of bubbles and in the distant I saw a city that looked like it was made entirely of light and nothing else.

Also, alot of people were flying around :p.

Edit: Also the city seemed to stretch on forever!

Edit, Edit: The parents i'm talking about are my Dad and stepmother, my mother is an actual christain and now that I think about it, that could of actually been a reason for the divorce... i'll ask her tommorow (she's most likely asleep already)

I'm sure your Christian friends would be more than happy to discuss these things with you. :) If you'd like, my husband would be willing to try n help you out a bit. PM if so. Like I said, he was in your shoes - an atheist but God spoke to him in a dream too.

Wow, that's pretty cool!! in Revelation describes what is called the 'new jerusalem'. It is a city just like you saw and the measurements of that city are something likened to as big as New York to New Orleans. So looking into the city, it would look like it stretched on forever. Also, the city glows like it's a most precious gemstone clear as crystal.

(source: Rev. 21 - totally read the chapter and see if it matches)

Very neat Nathan!

What qualifications are you implying i have placed on the OP's dreams?

Yes, this is what I posted about earlier. Where had he seen anything like his dream before? Dreams can come from our own subconscious, but if there's nothing in there to produce such a thing, then what other source is there?

Myself, I've never had a dream or vision of heaven, but I do know the Scriptures. (I've also had dreams of G-d, where I'm flying. A lot.)

Nothing is immediatley clear of where I got that image from in my dream. But then again, our brains save everything we see we just cant recall the mAjority of it. Also i'll see you guys tommorow i'm heading off to bed :)
