On another thread, I posted a list of transitional species. You have not refuted them.

Either explain why they are not transitionals or STOP LYING ABOUT IT!

Indeed. And we have plenty of evidence that until very recently there were other hominid species coexisting with us - neanderthals only disappeared 30,000 years ago.

Back two million years ago, you could have found A. robustus, A. boisei, possibly some A. africanus and H. habilis scratching a living in Africa.

It just happens that way. My father in law is the last male in his line, and has no sons. I'm the last male in my line. Some friends of mine have lots of brothers and paternal line cousins.

A mixture of both. There have most probably been clashes between h. sapiens and h. neanterthaliensis, but I don't subscribe to he idea of a simple mass genocide. H. sapiens just usurped all the ecological niches of the neanderthals. Pushed further and further out of the good hunting grounds into fringe regions, h. neanderthaliensis eventually dwindled away and died out.

There was another theory I remember, namely that h. neanderthaliensis interbred with h. sapiens and was "assimilated" by us ("We Are The Borg. Resistance Is Futile..."), but this has been falsified in the last years through DNA research.

I can see genocide having happened when a couple of tribes attack one another, unless Neandertal man was totally like, passive and peacelike and stuff, in which case they interbred with sapiens and are the only plausible explanation for hippies.

Evolution IS a fact. The theory of evolution by variation and selection is an explanation of the fact of evolution via descent with modification from common ancestors. Theories aren't facts; theories explain facts. Science is about explanations - so science is about theories. If you haven't gathered by now on this board that in science, theories aren't some sort of wild speculative guesswork that's somehow inferior to facts, you either haven't understood what the scientifically literate posters have been saying or you're discounting it because you think you know more about science than the scientists.

I think you are saying it's a fact because your emotions are telling you to say that, when honestly you know it's not a fact, a fact has to have 100% truth and support.

you do realise don't you badfish, that all creationist models require far more rapid evolution than a biologist would ever suggest, since not only do you have a limit of 6000 years, but you also have a flood that killed everything. If you tried suggesting that some "horse kind" evolved into zebras, donkeys, horses and so on.... and a "cat kind" evolved into lions leopards, tigers pumas and lynxes, and that a "dolphin kind" evolved into porpoises killer whales, blue whales and so on all within about 2000 years or so, then they would just laugh at you. there is no evidence for any of this kind of hyper rapid evolution at all... and why has it all come to a lurching halt all of a sudden? where is all the piles of evidence that there should be? Did the chinese forget to write it down? perhaps their mythical dragons and so on were a primordial " deer-camel-snake-cockle-carp-eagle-tiger-ox" kind in which case why can't tigers breed with carp?..... did the egyptions forget to note the fact that they were worshipping cats... no, it just changed it's not a cat, it's a smaller cat, apart from those over there that are turning into lions... and those that are growing stripes... and the others that have spots and run fast... what do we call those.. lepions? which one do we worship now *insert heiroglyphic of very confused egyptian scratching his head*
