I'm sorry if this isn't in the right section and idk if I mentioned this in my previous postings.
Back in November, I had a very short dream I was in hell. A saw fire and a demon voice was talking to me. I couldn't make out what it was saying but it was so deep and terrifying. Then I saw words that I couldn't understand. It still bothers me so much today months later.
Does this mean something? Has anyone else hear had a dream in hell?
It only means that what you think about long and hard enough during the day will get into your dreams.
The part of the brain that is responsible for dreams is built to do that and only that. You are responsible for what you dream about.
I read online from random people that if you believe in God/Jesus bc your afraid of going to hell, your wrong and don't have faith and don't believe.
Well that's nice.. NOT.
First they preach that if you don't get saved you're going to hell. So then you don't want to go to hell, and you heard that neither God nor Jesus wants you to go there, so you believe in Jesus as your Savior from hell.
And then after you get saved they tell you that if you got saved because you were afraid, then you're not really saved. How the * would they know?
When Peter was walking on the water toward Jesus, then he looked at the wind and waves, so he began to sink.
Do you think that he cried out for Jesus to save him because he was afraid of drowning? Or do you think that he cried out for Jesus to save him because he had faith in Jesus to keep him from drowning?
It's the same questions concerning having fear of going to hell, or having faith in Jesus to keep you from going to hell.
This made me feel even worse and I'm believing it.
Believe that you have faith in Jesus to keep you from going to hell.
If anyone makes salvation a matter of fear to go to hell. Then they just removed God's love for providing Jesus as the lamb of God to take away our sins and therefore not go to hell.
I believe all this time and now it's selfishness and fear of me going to hell.
It's not selfish to call upon Jesus to be saved and thereby not go to hell. Just as it was not selfish for Peter to call upon Jesus to grab hold and keep him from drowning.
I've seen examples of people (on tv, movies.. and even myself) who when they were slapping the water and kicking their feet to keep their head above water.. when someone reached out to grab them or to throw a life preserver.. they never said. "Oh no, I can't. That would be selfish."
If it's selfishness not to want to go to hell.. then God, Jesus, all of the apostles, every preacher there is.. they are all responsible for making people selfish to not want to go to hell. They are all responsible for a person sinning for being selfish.
Now, in light of whatever other sins you have, would you like to add the sin of blaming everyone for your not wanting to go to hell? No, you wouldn't and don't need to. I'm just making a point.
Jesus said to another "Be not afraid, but believe." Fear is not faith, and faith is not fear. You believed to take Jesus as your Savior. Who keeps you from going to hell.
Don't let anyone judge the inner workings of your soul because they weren't sitting there in your soul to know if you were afraid, or trusting in Jesus to be saved.
