  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm sorry if this isn't in the right section and idk if I mentioned this in my previous postings

Back in November, I had a very short dream I was in hell. A saw fire and a demon voice was talking to me. I couldn't make out what it was saying but it was so deep and terrifying. Then I saw words that I couldn't understand. It still bothers me so much today months later

Does this mean something? Has anyone else hear had a dream in hell?

I think you just thinking a lot about Hell

It was just 1 time it happened but my fear of it is coming back. I'm also saying to myself I'm not saved. I read from a youtuber saying if you believe in God/Jesus bc your afraid of going to hell, your wrong and don't have faith and don't believe. This made me feel even worse and I'm believing it. I believe all this time and now it's selfishness and fear of me going to hell

In my opinion the Bible says that the heart is desperately wicked and who can know it? I think no one is perfectly pure except for Jesus Christ. If your motives from the heart aren’t perfect then you’re human. The Greeks seek wisdom and the Jews seek a sign. I think people come to Christ for many different reasons. If yours is that you believe in Christ’s warnings about the outer darkness then why would He cast you out? I think God wants to do whatever it takes to save as many as possible and if that is what it takes to save you then it’s fine.

My mate dreamt he was in hell.

He was about to get married when he woke up! :p

Lost4words, this post is neither helpful nor funny.

If you are going to make an attempt at humor when Hell is the subject matter, do it among atheists. They will enjoy your "sense of humor." True believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will not.

Greetings in Christ. I've read some Hell accounts where the person taken there in spirit recorded seeing words written over prison cells or over doors that they could not read nor understand.

Let me ask you something in line with you having this dream: How is your walk with the Lord? Do you spend time with Him?

God bless, and thanks for posting, and look forward to hearing your answers.

I had a dream about hell, and it scared me enough to go out to church and become a Christain. As a starting point, it does not hurt to look at your life and see if you are on the right track. If you can't find fault in your walk, then there is probably some other point to it, maybe sharing with others the reality of hell.

It only means that what you think about long and hard enough during the day will get into your dreams.

The part of the brain that is responsible for dreams is built to do that and only that. You are responsible for what you dream about.
I read online from random people that if you believe in God/Jesus bc your afraid of going to hell, your wrong and don't have faith and don't believe.
Well that's nice.. NOT.

First they preach that if you don't get saved you're going to hell. So then you don't want to go to hell, and you heard that neither God nor Jesus wants you to go there, so you believe in Jesus as your Savior from hell.

And then after you get saved they tell you that if you got saved because you were afraid, then you're not really saved. How the * would they know?

When Peter was walking on the water toward Jesus, then he looked at the wind and waves, so he began to sink.
Do you think that he cried out for Jesus to save him because he was afraid of drowning? Or do you think that he cried out for Jesus to save him because he had faith in Jesus to keep him from drowning?

It's the same questions concerning having fear of going to hell, or having faith in Jesus to keep you from going to hell.
This made me feel even worse and I'm believing it.
Believe that you have faith in Jesus to keep you from going to hell.

If anyone makes salvation a matter of fear to go to hell. Then they just removed God's love for providing Jesus as the lamb of God to take away our sins and therefore not go to hell.
I believe all this time and now it's selfishness and fear of me going to hell.
It's not selfish to call upon Jesus to be saved and thereby not go to hell. Just as it was not selfish for Peter to call upon Jesus to grab hold and keep him from drowning.

I've seen examples of people (on tv, movies.. and even myself) who when they were slapping the water and kicking their feet to keep their head above water.. when someone reached out to grab them or to throw a life preserver.. they never said. "Oh no, I can't. That would be selfish."

If it's selfishness not to want to go to hell.. then God, Jesus, all of the apostles, every preacher there is.. they are all responsible for making people selfish to not want to go to hell. They are all responsible for a person sinning for being selfish.

Now, in light of whatever other sins you have, would you like to add the sin of blaming everyone for your not wanting to go to hell? No, you wouldn't and don't need to. I'm just making a point.

Jesus said to another "Be not afraid, but believe." Fear is not faith, and faith is not fear. You believed to take Jesus as your Savior. Who keeps you from going to hell.

Don't let anyone judge the inner workings of your soul because they weren't sitting there in your soul to know if you were afraid, or trusting in Jesus to be saved.

True believers rise above satan and hell.

They don't rise above Satan and Hell when those who profess faith in Christ are continually mocking dreams the Lord may be trying to use to warn them about their eternal salvation, and you make a habit of belittling people who post on this forum.

I'm as interested in lightening up as the next guy, but not when people's souls are on the line, and you should know better.

If you are asking about signs in Hell that people could not read, I've read about such things a few times, but finding the specific references would take some doing. I have numerous Hell testimonies in my library.

If you are asking about do you spend time with Him, I mean do you spend time in personal prayer, where you give yourself to listening to God speak after seeking Him about your concerns. Do you spend time studying the Bible, asking Him teach you His word through the help of the Holy Spirit. Do you spend time worshipping Him with your heart, during prayer or during worship times in your private life.

I been praying and asking him for me to become sinless and be a better person. I pray to him that I want to have a relationship with him and Jesus. I pray to be saved and for my loved ones to be saved. I'm want to read more of the bible but I cannot focus now bc of my anxiety.

It means a lot actually. You were really in that dimension, where a lot of people go via their visions and dreams. So don't feel ashamed or like you are the only one out there. Satan attacks all of us, but as long as we are still breathing we have time to reverse our fate. To correct this path, you need to take steps to reaffirm your faith and recommit to the Lord. Attend church, study your Bible, pray, tithe, etc.
