QFTJesus, like many other people, was probably both Liberal and Conservative. He abided by many of the Jewish Laws (and seemed to be very Conservative in many of His actions). But He also changed many of the Laws (He was willing to walk more than was allowed to help someone, He said that all people, not just Jews, could be saved). It takes sort of a lot of disregarding information about Jesus (Biblical and otherwise) to say that He was either completely Liberal or completely Conservative.
And, I think, He probably wouldn't approve completely of either contemporary political view.

do you have a better suggestion?Well I'm happy that Christians operate on what Jesus 'probably' would have wanted. That really unifies the believers.
I've heard other conservative Catholics say these things. But they are meaningless as long as the hierarchy doesn't act, which they will not do. You can believe all that if you want but it's essentially just meangless drivel.
Actually no. Even on some polls most Catholics agree abortion is best determined by the woman and her medical providers; the busybodies and the men in dresses need to stay out of it.
And this you know how? Linky please.
Honey, Jesus Christ would make the Conservatives look Liberal. Get real. He fulfilled the law for goodness sake. How liberal can that be?

Did you read my post?? They don't have to act, abortion in itself induces an automatic excommunication. They do it to themselves. If a women dies while having an abortion she will die in mortal sin and it will send her to Hell(unless by some miracle she has contrition in that little amount of time).. If you consider that "drivel" then that shows where your morals are..
Which polls? Provide info..
Also it dosen't matter what the people do, its the Church doctrine thats important. There are many Catholics who are out of communion with the church or excommunicated and do not know about it...
Most Catholics know that abortion is a sin. They are in denial that is all.. In fact someone who claims to be a Catholic who is pro-choice would be a heretic by definition because they are not in FULL communion with Church doctrine..You can't pick which doctrines you like and which you don't, that would be making yourself God..Unfortunatly your opinion dosen't trump 2000 years guided by the holy spirit. You cannot fight against the truth..

The bible says:
We should stone to death disobedient children
Is it ok to sell your daughter to slavery
Anyone who works on the Sabbath should be put to death
You must not go anywhere near a women while she is on her period
So you yourself are a hypocrite, and i'm also tempted to say, by your very own standards, not a real christian as you and every christian alive picks and chooses which parts they like.
In fact, confirming someone in their sins is a sin in itself, and if the person happens to lose his soul because of it, YOU yourself could be partly responsibly. It is a christians job to rebuke sin, not encourage it..What happened if you encouraged a woman to get an abortion and she happened to die ?? You yourself would be partly responsible for that person being killed and possible losing their soul..
Oh dear, i hope you don't shop (on any day of the week) somewhere that opens on sundays, otherwise i could say you are confirming their sins. I don't know about where you live, but almost everywhere here is open on a sunday, so you must be quite limited to where you can shop.
thats only true of the hebrews, other groups were just like the black slaves.First off Slavery was a different term back then. Slaves simply meant "workers" as they would today. It didn't mean the same thing as what you would think between The whites who had Black slaves..
sorry but you are wrong, the sabbath is on saturday, sunday is a pagan addition.Secondly missing sunday is a sin.. Doing work and other activities like shopping during a sunday is a sin.. Sin is the worst offense we could do to God and in reality ALL of our sins merit death.. The Law itself is a death sentence because it is the mirror that shows us our sins..
really? where does it say he took away all the laws? he said he came to fulfill them, not take them awayWhile Jesus did away with the physical(food, cleaning) laws he did not do away with the moral code that is written on our hearts..
really? then you need to get with some posters and tell them this, because people don't seem to be able to understand that attacking a person for being a sinner is sinful as wellWhile christians are not able to follow everything in the bible because its impossible to be perfect because of our fallen nature, it still dosen't mean its ok to justify sins. When we sin we must realize what we did was wrong and have contrition. In fact, confirming someone in their sins is a sin in itself, and if the person happens to lose his soul because of it, YOU yourself could be partly responsibly.

1. Prove it.First off Slavery was a different term back then. Slaves simply meant "workers" as they would today. It didn't mean the same thing as what you would think between The whites who had Black slaves..
Sunday is a time for rest and spiritual reflection. It isn't a day to do work or indulge in selfish things.. We must try to at least keep that day holy because it is God's day which he rested from creation..Is one day out of the week so hard??
redefining words arbitrarily is lying all the same.First off Slavery was a different term back then. Slaves simply meant "workers" as they would today. It didn't mean the same thing as what you would think between The whites who had Black slaves..

This from a guy who will tell you that "homosexual", as used by the Bible, can't POSSIBLY be mistranslated... but a word like "slave" can be.
And whats even worse? He sees absolutely no contradiction in this.
