Making what up? Do you or don't you believe that Christ Jesus and Him alone justifies and saves a sinner??
You can't answer my question can you? Yes or no it's very simple. I've explained already the grace that savesThat I deny God's grace!
Have you gotten the 'whole' message of grace yet? I see you didn't comment on what grace teaches us. Do you think the things grace teaches is important, or can it be excused?

Silly?? For someone dodging the question I guess it is silly. And no that wasn't my question. Synergistic salvation denies divine sovereign grace in salvation
The fact that you don't believe that salvation and justification before God solely rest in Christ Jesus and His merits alone, shows why you believe in a works based salvation that involves the sinners cooperation. Which denies the grace of God that saves. And denies the gospel of Christ. Synergistic salvation is a denial of Gods Sovereign elective grace in salvation. So yes you do deny that salvation is by grace alone, in Christ alone, and received by faith aloneGrace teaches you to DO something, not sit on your duff. Synergism is definitely within the confines of grace.
Titus 2
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
Do you not know denying ungodliness and worldly lusts is something we DO? Do you also not know living soberly, righteously, and godly is something we DO? These are the things grace teaches us to do.
If you disagree with synergistic grace, you are the one denying it. Synergism does not deny grace, but rather, confirms it.

The wonder is not that God chooses to save some and not others is His divine right ... the wonder is that He chooses to save any.. no one deserves itI think what needs to be factored into how reprobation is defined in your comment is Genesis 4:7, "[sin] its desire is for you, but you must master it". There are reasons why God would not save a person. When a person no longer sees their need to repent and instead decides to do a 180 degree embrace of their sin, such a thing walks precariously close to the unforgivable sin.
Once a person knows their need of the cross, that the length of their life will have struggles contained within it (Matthew 24:13) then somewhere along the line they decide that pursuing such a thing is garbage. That sinning is better than following Christ (Matthew 16:24) What kind of an end will they inherit?
So tell me can anyone keep His commandments? When you understand and believe Titus 2:11, 12, get back with me.
Matthew 19:17
So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
So, MDC, do you want to enter life? Why not believe Jesus and do it His way?
So tell me can anyone keep His commandments?
I feel like this sounds nice to us humans born of flesh but it dose not seem to have any root. It just sounds nice to believe and its easy. This doctrine is defeated by infant salvation.
I am sure your tone will win him over and the world.I actually don't know what's so hard to understand about that definition. Why is it so hard for you?
It does have roots in scripture.I feel like this sounds nice to us humans born of flesh but it dose not seem to have any root. It just sounds nice to believe and its easy.
Wow! Why not read the Bible? Have you ever read Luke?
Luke 1
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
Now tell us, which of His commandments can you not keep? Be honest, can you not keep from lying? Can you not keep from coveting your neighbor's wife? Can you not keep from stealing? Can you not love God and your neighbor? Do you want to enter life?
Do you not love Jesus?
John 14:15
If you love Me, keep My commandments.
How do you claim to know Jesus if you don't keep His commandments?
1 John 2:3
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
Do you know one who doesn't keep His commandments is a liar?
1 John 2:4
He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
To answer your question, people can most definitely keep His commandments. You had better keep His commandments.
I have read Luke.. And none of your quotes say that men can keep all the commandments..
@EmSw Wayne, I would kindly ask you to STOP this foolishness immediately. When you say things like this, you will cause people to doubt and lose faith. If you've read the Old Testament then you know that it is full of lessons. Lessons of how men fail over and over and over again to keep God's commandments. Even God's 'elite' elect, from Abraham to Moses to David to Paul, ALL of Jesus' lineage, failed to keep the Law. The point of their stories is God teaching us that we cannot do it.Did you also know that if you don't keep His commandments, you don't know Him.

Then we have the Gospel Books in the New Testament, which reveals to us that man longer has to focus on getting works right, but instead place our faith in the works of Christ. Out of that faith, through the works of the Spirit, we become increasingly sanctified. No amount of tradition, rituals, sacrifices, or being a good person will replace or outshine the perfect keeping of the Law by God Himself. You are a habitual commandment breaker, as am I and every other person. You would do well to cease preaching perfection, and preach Christ.
Obey God. Your message of self preservation is foolishness.Doug, who am I to obey, God or man? God's message isn't foolishness to you, is it?
A Christian who struggles with a particular sin would surely fail, lose hope and faith if they followed your advice.Maybe you should try to get a hold of the Apostle John. He said this, and I am sure no one lost their faith when they read his words.
1 John 2
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
So, I ask you Doug, how do you propose that we know Him and do not keep His commandments?
Will a man lose faith if he keeps the commandments? Let's see what Jesus says, shall we?
John 15
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Jesus did not say you will doubt and lose faith. In fact, He said if you keep His commandments, you will abide in His love. Where do you get you will lose faith?
You're wrong in your assumption. These men never reached perfection, they are blameless in Christ, but never in their works. There has and never be a man who is perfect, except Christ.Doug, God's 'elite' did not continue to fail to keep His commandments. Did David continue to commit adultery? Did Moses continue to kill? Did Paul not say he was blameless in the law (Philippians 3:6)? What is said about Zacharias and Elizabeth?
Luke 1:6
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
The history of Israel (and our own hearts) confirm that the ideals of God’s law cannot be achieved without God’s divine intervention. The Ten Commandments expose our sinful motives and behavior for what they are, namely, transgression of specific commands. And we know from experience that the Ten Commandments do not have the power to transform us or liberate us from the power of sin. So, the law is like a teacher who shows us God’s holiness, our sinfulness, and our need for salvation.Doug, if you don't do good works, what kind of works do you think you will do? Do you think evil works please God? Do you think evil works are of faith? Do you think evil works are of the Spirit? Do you think evil works are of God or the devil?
So you habitually break the commandments? Really Doug? Do you habitually murder people? Do you habitually lie? Do you habitually commit adultery against your wife? Do you habitually hate God? Do you habitually hate your neighbor? That's not good if you do Doug.
Do you habitually hate God so that you don't obey Him? Do you habitually hate God so His word is foolishness to you?
I suggest you carefully consider what you believe, Doug?
