Are these God's words? Really, anyone can be grieved......... but God because you don't love him? That sounds silly. He should just love his family, people, and friends. I mean, love his friends, but not take it to the but hole.
Yes God's word says that Hes a jealous God, and that his spirit can be grieved. Its my opinion that God gave us relationships such as marriage and children, so we can understand how He feels when we don't love Him, or obey Him. Look at Israel the cheating spouse. Thats a glimpse into the mind of God in my opinion.
Hi David ...I smoked weed all of my life ..was a musician /songwriter ..part of growing up in the 60's I guess . Grew up in church ..sang in the choir ..was not an atheist. Here is the thing though ..and the truth is what it is ..the truth does not care what I think about it ( or Him ) . It occurred to me yesterday that how does one become mindless ? By pursuing mindlessness activities . ( I am an old stoner so I know all of the " Weed opens up your mind ..new dimensions , etc. " Been there done that" so I understand the argument ...But the reality is ...eternal life is much more serious than just life and death and since our actions effect others ( or fail to ) it is too important to walk through life in a fog ...And there is discernment which is not judgement . ( Does one get angry with a doctor when he makes a diagnosis of impending death which he needs to diagnose if it is to be treated . )
For now, set aside everything you have learned about God. Find a journaling book and a cool looking pen. For now, let God simply be a higher power. Jesus and Genesis can come later. For now, just let God be that Creator who is greater than yourself, who loves you and wants what is best for you. Spend 5-10 minutes writing to Him/Her/It each morning. Share your joys and sorrows. Ask questions, even if you don't hear an answer. Yell about injustices. Complain about religion. Ask for help in your life. Examine your conscience. Set goals for improvement. Seek virtues. Cry if you need to. Make a list for your day and ask him to be with you. Whatever comes into your mind, write it in your journal. You will be surprised how over time this will change you. You will grow. More will come. Who knows where it will take you.
Wassup. I know, you should get angry at "doctors" making life impending diagnosis'.... the thing is some people need bot cigarettes, some need bit, but initialy, and I do mean this, weed alone is better. Whe you smoke only cigs after weed you get older, and wisdom paralyzes you, but with good enough wisdom, and discipline, you can be saved... The actual Devi, red guy, made weed and it is definitely better than cigs and cigarettes, and sometimes wisdom isn't good, sometimes it is. So is the goodness of the lord and Christ. God is good, and he is thw father of the Devil. Most all were Gods at one time, or angels.
How does any of what the previous poster said equal what you are saying that God doesn’t love us? As a matter of fact, God not only loves us, He delights in us and adopts is as children of God. Heirs of Christ and heirs of the Fatber.
David ...when Jesus said " He that has ears to hear , let them hear " ... it goes along with the scripture that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble and we are saved by God's grace . The garce that brings salvation has appeared to all men , TEACHING us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust , we should live soberly , righteously and Godly in this present world ....That also agrees with Paul ..teach the young men to be sober minded ....Paul also admonished Timothy to preach teh word in season and out of season because men will heap top them selves teachers having itching ears ...and this about BELIEVERS in the last days ..not atheist ...believers will look for an easy way . David , your soul depends on you being sober minded . " if our gospel is hidden , it is hidden to those who PERISH ...who the god of THIS WORLD has BLINDED their hearts and MINDS ....David ..have you ever heard the word blind as it relates to smoking weed ? I have ..it was another word for getting stoned .... This is not a game David and do not believe every spirit . This is deadly serious.
