Ummm, NO!!!! I've dated in highschool, college, and even now that I'm out. I"ve been looking for Ms. Right too, but lately, like you, knowing I'l probably be going into the mission field, why would I start something that may eventually have to break off? Most women I've dated have had the notion to settle down and start a family. I'm all for a family, but I love seeing the world too; I'd love to have a family living abroad. I've just yet to meet anyone willing to travel with me, and I know I can be more effective if I put relationship with God first as a single and having the time and energy focused on Him. I've kept busy enough to avoid getting too tempted. but it's not easy. I never said it was. I've seen greater regret seeing guys date and having to break up because he couldnt commit, she couldnt, etc. Right now, I'm one of the former, so I'm not spending the energy looking as I once was and letting God lead her to me, that being his will. I still talk and converse with women all the time. Heaven knows, I work in an elemnetary school!superdave said:
Okay but you are only 19 - I am 21 and have been single for the past 3 years. There is nothing wrong with being single for awhile, God will give you someone when He feels you are ready. When He feels the time is right - He has the right person for you, but doesn't want to give her to you yet. Just pray for your situation and wait. Being single is definitely not a bad thing - it will let you grow spiritually before you get into a serious relationship.superdave said:
