CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yay!! The perfect thread game. I am blessed because I met marmaladegirl22 and she is an angel. She's in my prayers because she had to flee her home due to Rita. I am blessed because my friends here pray for me. I am blessed because I got an A on my Biology test (Thank you God!!!)

I used to be sooo lonely. My best friend is at a different college, far away. Most of my friends at this college are staff. I usually sit alone at lunch time. I used to go to a college group at my church but gas went up and my transportation is very limited. Some friends transported me, until they went to a new church.
I began using fantasies as my comfort. In them I would always meet the perfect guy and well... I prayed often, knowing that I should think better thoughts.
But then I found this forum. I think about all the wonderful people I've met and how clean and positive it is. I think about this every night and feel much better.
I may sit alone at my table at lunch, but I have hundreds of friends ready to welcome me back to christianforums.com
