Fishing is one of his ministries.. he takes out belivers.. & non-believers & kids and tells them about the Glory of God's creation.. they know before hand that he is a Christian.. I made him 'business' cards with Scripture..

Talk about a captive audience.. *smile*.. They have a choice to listen.. or swim..

Sure, the Psalm is a messianic Psalm, the things described in it never happened to David, he was speaking prophetically of Christ...

Psa. 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Jesus said this on the cross...

Psa. 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

one of the effects of crucifixion is all your bones are pulled out of joint...

Psa. 22:17 I may tell all my bones: they look AND stare upon me...

When Jesus was whipped he bones were laid bare...

Psa. 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

they cast lots for Jesus clothes...

there are other references in the psalm that are applied to Jesus but they could also be speaking of anyone but these are the main points...

LOL I had no idea what that verse was saying in that form of English but I still remember the worm



On a more serious note -----
Some see Psalm 22 as a prophecy of the Lord, the Saviour who is to come, and this verse as how people would see him.. despised and esteemed as nothing

Psa. 22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

Just because he said it doesn't mean it is right, I hear people all the time say that man is just a worm but in fact he is created in the image and likeness of God... no worm here...

For one we are simply not a worm, we are human beings. Thats simple and obvious enough.

Secondly, We were created in the image and likeness of God- above every beast, fowl & every creeping thing...

We are not worms, not in Christ anyway. We are new creations, created in righteousness.

I need to look into it further but my preliminary findings indicate that Enosh is a worm, the word worm there means worm but it comes from maggot or something that comes from the putrifying process, i.e. if you leave meat out and it begins to rot it develops little worms that help the process...

the son of Adam is a towlah, this also means worm but is a redemptive name for Jesus...

So this man (Enosh) is putrifing or decaying but the son of man (Adam) is a towlah worm... which is the type of worm the OP was all about, a redemptive name for Jesus...

So what does this verse mean? I have no idea but I intend to dig it out...
