You guys said I couldn't get a pet but I just got a pet for 25 blessings. :o Were you trying to discourage me or new people? I just feel ....well.... anyways,I have a pet now.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We don't try to discourage "new people" from getting pets for no reason. As Ainuhina said, we just don't want your pet to starve on you. It's best to get one when you can look after it, because they cost 100 blessings per week to feed, and getting a pet is a long term commitment.Menuet said:

I won't ignore my pet you guys. Things happen with computers I'm sure but there's always the library and work where I'm at.People let them just die? Is that why the pet was adoptable?
I renamed him Spitz. I just learned not to over feed though,it confused me until 2 members told me what I was doing. I think this is a cute option on a site.It's one reason I wanted to finally join up.

Things do happen with computers and we do try to look out for each other's pets, but the problem is, when you haven't been here a couple of days, your old posts get "buried" and people might not even see your pet. If you can anticipate that you are going to be away, just put him in daycare for 10 blessings a day and he will be just fine.Menuet said:
