• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I accepted Christ.

I accepted Christ in the church without my family's knowing & approval. Am I still counted as Christian?
Is it something bad for not letting them to know about it? Cause i'm not ready for telling yet. I truly believe in God. :) I went to a church few days back and my legs were shaking and I collapsed without knowing after they did their prayers to me. What happened? A friend of mine said it's the holy spirit.
Many of us who went for the prayers from the pastors and helpers collapsed after listening. I felt peaceful, though after i collapsed and lay on the ground. It's like something cleared up every doubts in my mind. So what is it actually?

You came into contact with the living God! Let me just say that many will try to come against your experience on this forum but that is only because they don't understand the Lord manifesting and revealing Himself to them the way He has to you. The Lord's presence is very precious and He will reveal Himself more and more to you as you grow in Him through faith. You will do well to stay in that Spirit-filled church.

On your other point: I think you should tell your family, Jesus demands that we confess Him before others, we are not to be ashamed or afraid to confess our Lord, He took our shame on the cross and was despised by man, now we must take up our cross and follow Him.

"I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God." (Luke 12:8)

God bless and welcome to the family of God!

Yes, sometimes when the Holy Spirit moves, believers fall. They fell in different directions such as:
2Ch 5:14 "So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."

Eze 3:23 "Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face."

Num 22:31 "Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face."

Rev 1:17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:"

Eze 43:3 "And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face."

Eze 44:4 "Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face."

Do they believe in Christ Jesus? Asks Yahweh to help you. You were with others so you've already openly shown that you accepted. Yes, welcome to Yahweh's family!

I think God brings you these responses to confirm your faith.

You've accepted Christ and that matters. In some sense you may be feeling different, and that can cause you some worry about how to approach your family, what their reaction would be may be disconcerting or disappointing.

Just let it run. Yes, God is happy with you (cf Rom 5:1), as you are with Him through the feelings He's given you. Grow in that, so that you will be able to keep peace with God through your faith against the reactions of others.

You're a Christian because God has given you faith to believe in the Savior who died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins...not because of anything you said, prayed, etc.... Don't be afraid to tell your family that you have a Savior.
