  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You are walking in the woods and come across a suitcase filled with a million dollars, but there's a note on the outside of it (stained with blood) saying "Don't!"

Would you take it?

Nope (lots of money is a chance to sin, it's better to be poor as far as I am concerned). I'd wonder why it was there and look at the surrounding area though.

Sure. Turn it in right away and receive whatever appropriate reward there is for turning it in, (maybe imprisonment or death) , then share (if monetary reward) with others.

Most everyone just claims their money for themselves, greedily, and even get a lawyer to "protect" or to "wisely" (not!) use "their" money INSTEAD OF JESUS' WAY !!!! (the saddest thing of all - instead of Jesus.....

People might earn a few hundred or a few thousand a month, but ARE TOLD take care of number one (self) INSTEAD OF WHAT JESUS' SAYS ! and they get patted on the back , congratulated , 'rewarded' IN THEIR SINFULNESS instead of turning to YAHWEH (GOD) to do what He Says.

Other people get one thousand, two thousand...... several thousand a month 'FREE' / disability/ retirement/ annuity/ so on - AND NO ONE ALERTS THEM what Jesus says to do - at least RARELY IF EVER, and they don't lift a finger to help anyone (except for "show" as Jesus says on judgment day) ..... and they continue to "think" all that money is for themselves every month --- so they wallow in their sinfulness, rewarded with the results of their sinfulness all the time and worse after they die.......

The note would seem to apply to the suitcase, and not the money, since it is attached to the outside of the suitcase. I think I would come back with another suitcase, put the money in the second suitcase, and take the second suitcase home, being careful not to disrupt the first suitcase.

I'd just call it in to the police. It wouldn't be worth the hassle. Someone would quickly notice you having more money with no change in circumstances to warrant it.
Couldn't you put it in a Swiss bank account?

Why would you assume that the "don't" meant "don't take the suitcase?" It could also mean "don't open it" which you already did if you know what is in it...or "don't proceed or you might get blood on you"...or "don't" a lot of things.

I'd probably take it to the police because I wouldn't think it was safe to stay there with it waiting for the police to come to me.

Am I the only one worried about the person who is bleeding?
Well, sure, I'm worried, too. As soon as I get the money into the Swiss bank account.

I would first scout the place around it, and then throw stones at it, see if it's booby trapped.

Then find a long stick or fallen branch to try to open it or move it around from a distance to further inspect for any traps and to haul it in if deemed safe.

But if I sense any dreadful feeling, I would ignore it altogether.. Such arrangment is likely to be a trap anyway.
