  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

that's true. i'm still in it.

btw, there was a song by Six Feet Deep called "more in sorrow" old school hardcore
I have that song and love it. It's easily my favorite Six Feet Deep song.

Best show I've ever been to was NIV, Inked In Blood, and Jesus Wept.

Well, I'm not really sure what HxC is because most people I talk to are like: "dude, that's not hardcore, that's just metal crap"... so, yeah.

I do like UnderØATH, The Chariot, Haste the Day, Becoming the Archetype, and Showbread (but they're considered post-hardcore, so I don't know it they count.)

So what if it's not exactly considered 'HxC', but I still enjoy the music. :)

HxC is just a shorter way to type hardcore for those who don't know. but anyway, you are right... the term hardcore music has changed over the years.. straight up old school harcore like StrongArm and Six Feet Deep evolved into stuff like old school Zao and Symphony in Peril. now we have bands that envoke metal and emo into their 'hardcore' style. so metal is metal and hardcore is hardcore.. depends on what you think.

I've just recently started listening to more hardcore stuff. Just last year I was still like: "Yeah! Pillar is the best, rock on!" um.. yeah, not anymore. lol
Now I'm like: "oooh yeah! Norma Jean! -metal fingers-"

What are some bands you listen to? Maybe I can look them up on purevolume and see if I like them. :)

Oooh, August Burns Red is awesome. I need to pick up the Norma Jean album, but I don't have any income. lol

Anyone heard of Destroy the Runner? I heard them for the first time on Purevolume's One Dark Summer sampler. They're pretty awesome too. :)

As far as metal goes...I love it. Becoming The Archetype, As I Lay Dying, The Showdown, Still Remains, and August Burns Red are all awesome as Christian stuff goes. Also Killswitch, In Flames(newer stuff), and Dream Theater also freaking rock...
