CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't see anything in the article about asking the Biden's anything or any investigation. I liked the reporting from years ago when they actually investigated wrong doing.

Have you been living under a rock the past four years? There have been plenty of investigations conducted by the New York Times and Washington Post. The New York Post has always been a flamboyant tabloid. When I took the subways every day, people would read the tabloids because they were right-sized, but now the subways are filled with kindles, tablets, cell phones, and handheld video games.

Plenty of investigations on the laptop that was just found??? The article I just read is trying to dismiss the contents of the laptop and discredit the guy who turned it in without even finding out if the information is true. They didn't even talk to the Biden's.

You really don't know what's happened ...
What we do know ... is that the claimant in the accusation, the shop owner, isn't even sure that it's Hunter Biden's laptop, ... or that Hunter Biden ever visited his shop. We also know that the shop owner is legally blind.
We also know that the metadata on the laptop ... doesn't match the e-mails that are purported to be sent and/or received on it.
And, according to Republicans, Hunter is flush with millions gained through making buck off of his father's position. If that true, ... WHY would he take his laptops to be repaired ? Why not jut buy a new one ?

Why? I would say that crack heads don't make the best decisions.
My point was news reporters used to investigate. Why are they avoiding going to the Biden's? Why aren't they trying to get info from one of these anonymous FBI guys?

They aren't going to publish anything that harms Biden or the left. That was the whole point of the article to discredit instead of investigate.

John Radcliffe is a politician. He was a Republican congressman during Trump's impeachment.
He is still running the Republican line ... making a last-ditch attempt to get Trump reelected.
Even with that being the case, he denies knowing anything significant about the FBI's investigation. He's just saying that Russia isn't behind it ...

I see that Ratcliffe is the new Director of National Intelligence. If Trump hadn't made it a priority to appoint accomplices to every national security post he can (while firing lifelong career civil service employees who served with distinction under administrations of both parties) I might listen.
The strangest part of this bungled plot is that they brought the laptop to a legally blind computer repairperson, who, when asked to identify whether the person who brought the computer in was Hunter Biden, said his vision was not good enough for him to say yes or no.
Is this for real? Out of all the computer repairpersons they could choose from they decide to go to the one repairperson in D.C. who wouldn't recognize that the person purporting to be Hunter Biden was, indeed, NOT Hunter Biden?
