What you think of humanism and what are the weaknesses of humanism in your opinion?. Also Is there a relationship between Christianity and humanism?

Of the atheist thought, humanism seems like one of the weakest. Especially when confronted nihilism.

Humanism is satanic.


Morality is universal and it cannot come from man. Humanists should be thanking Christians for raising the world on christian foundations versus the satanic mayan, viking, aztec etc morality foundations.

Humanism is compatible with my religion as I understand it. I'm Lutheran. Morality should be directed principally by the needs of our neighbor, as Christ has given us an example. I am also very much influenced by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was a Christian humanist.

I like Maslow and Positive Psychology. Some would call each humanistic. I can't abide the doom and gloom and grow weary over endless discussions about problems and woes. I believe that's why positive psychology resonates so much with me. It isn't depressing. Many people commiserate over negative subjects. But I prefer happier topics. It's hard to find in some circles.

I have good discourse with atheists. ;-)

Catholicism allows for humanism so it is certainly compatible with Christianity.
