My mood has been decent, with fits of agitation and anger every now and again. I've been having flashes of ideations every now and again, but my primary problem has been the tactile, visual, and olfactory hallucinations I've been experiencing. Thankfully, I have an appointment with my doctor at the end of the month.

You should try to get in to your doc earlier. What you are experiencing sounds like severe symptoms. I am praying for you.

I call once a day to see if my doctor has any appointments, but her receptionist told me she won't see me until my appointment. I still call anyway, which makes her mad. I need a new psychiatrist.

Sounds like you do need a new psych doc....or she needs a new receptionist.

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this. If you can't get in to see your doctor sooner would you consider going through emergency? I would say don't be afraid to go that route if you feel the need to.

I will be seeing my therapist tomorrow and tell him what's going on. He has been very good about saying, "we can wait on that" or "get thee to the hospital."

Okay that's good to know. What you were describing made me nervous because I'm bipolar 1 also and I know what it is to be full blown psychotic and you were sounding on your way. Now I feel relieved.

I may be on my way, but I plan on making a few pit stops along my journey. I've never had a psychotic episode, though I have been manic before, and my mania features with all kinds of "fun" ideations and hypersexuality.

Oh how well I know...with mania it's just one thrill after another. :o

My hallucinations have stopped. Unfortunately, my medicine also seems to have stopped working, and I have been increasingly agitated, overconfident, and prone to hypersexuality--classic signs of mania for me. I really, really don't want to go back to the hospital right now. A 72-hour hold is not fun.

I hear ya. I've been in the hospital 4 times and each time it seemed worse. I was even put in a padded room once just because I was suicidal.

I thought I would just bump this back up since we're in a new season. I'm doing okay...got a lot of things on my mind. I don't know whether that's good or bad. Although I've had friends tell me I think too much....

Lamictal isn't as nice to me as I want it to be. It elongates my phases, but it does jack to dampen them. Right now I'm in a depressive phase, but clear-headed enough to deal with some PTSD issues.

With the day's getting shorter and colder and gloomy my bipolar seem to want to take on a mind of its own . I am trying to keep busy to help this problem . I have some friends helping out and started a bible study to get me out of the house .
