• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

We've been having beautiful weather on my part of the planet! So I've been out getting my Vitamin D and enjoying life. We've been having a wonderful Spring. I just learned how to make zucchini spaghetti and I'm luvin it! Right now my bipolar is okay. I'm not "rolling" or in the "pit" so that's good. So right now this moment life is good and I'm gonna celebrate that!

How are you doing?

I feel like I'm overworked and over tired, but I've had a bit of time off to recover, but sleep is unrestful, and my brain is foggy. Aching muscles make it difficult to get comfy, causing insomnia followed by sleep-deprived inability to .. you know... do words and things.

Positive about the future, but wondering if my weary old bones will be able to get me there.

I visit an aged care home once a week - and it's looking like a lovely place to check in and just sleep, eat, and watch TV. Hehehe I'm 44! Why do I feel ready for the nursing home?

I think it is awesome you visit a home for the aged once a week . you are a lot younger then me I am sure yo are not ready for a nursing home let . I would teas my husband about when I would go into the hospital . I would tell him it is my vacation away for it all so I can get healthy . you try and get some rest and try not to work so hard and keep making the older people happy , I am sure they love to see you coming once a week . God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers for better sleep .

Hi RuthD :)...I'm glad you're doing good and have gotten some good news! That's always a good thing. Okay how many times did I say good lol...

Hey CraftyTurtle :)...Everything you're saying I know so well. How are your labs? Are they testing you for hypothyroidism and diabetes? Have you talked to your Dr. about peri-menopause? I'm just asking because sometimes stuff gets overlooked because of the bipolar. I'll be praying too that you get some real rest :groupray:

Have been tested for lots of things (a list of letters and words I don't understand) and my iron level is low low low. So I am now on ferrum H injections once a week. 6 weeks in, and not really feeling any different. ...yet.

Hypo/hyperthyroidism was mentioned, but I haven't been tested yet. Also have been mentioned: CFS, MS, RLS, Anemia .... I see a future full of tests, tests and more tests.

Hey CraftyTurtle

Well the good thing is that you can begin to eliminate things as the test come back normal/negative. I was thinking wouldn't it be weird if it was something like a food allergy? I had anemia due to fibroids. My menstrual cycles were all around wild! I'll keep praying with others for ya. You're gonna get through this. :groupray:

This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in Him...of course the Lord made every day so this saying goes for all of them!
I find the more I focus on Him the less I give my illness a chance to have at me.

I have sung this song many times! :)

Blessings.

My mood has been decent, with fits of agitation and anger every now and again. I've been having flashes of ideations every now and again, but my primary problem has been the tactile, visual, and olfactory hallucinations I've been experiencing. Thankfully, I have an appointment with my doctor at the end of the month.
