If you were going to break Matthew into a six week bible study how would you organize it? Numerical order, by what was spoken and the context?
Would specific chapters (such as 5) be looked at more thoroughly than others? What would the main points to get across be, in your opinion?
Hmm. This would take a bit of time to produce, so take my current suggestion with a grain of salt. Off the top of my head I can think of 6 main topics in Matthew: (1) the context (so you'd have to talk about the inter-testamental period and what was going on when Matthew wrote), including the author and intended audience; (2) the genealogy of Jesus; (3) the miracles; (4) the parables; (5) the Beatitudes; (6) the Olivet Discourse.

That wouldn't cover every verse, of course, but it makes for a nice 6-week outline -- again, off the top of my head.

Depending on the time for each session, six weeks would barely scratch the surface. Something which would be unconventional would be to simply study fulfilled prophecies as they pertain to Christ. That would re-establish the Divine inspiration of Scripture.
