Not so fun fact. They've exhumed bodies that were embalmed decades later and they looked like they just been buried. It really makes you wonder how potent those chemicals are....eeeeek....

Yeah. I heard about that with Abrahham Lincoln. They opened his casket some 40 odd years later and was surprised to discover his body still looked mostly the same.

I remember watching a Penn and Teller episode about funeral homes. They said some of that fluid can actually cause the body to blow up like a balloon and explode in the casket, lol. I think that's more where the weather is humid... but still.. ewww.

Monetary costs aside, who wouldn't want to be buried in a mausoleum styled after a sacred mountain populated by lush gardens and sumptuous statuary?

Practically speaking, just a simple burial in a homemade casket; embalming, I could take or leave. But I am extremely opposed against cremation and feel it is almost blasphemous.
