How will I know when Im free from the hurt?

Last summer me and a friend got in a really big fight. I'll admit I did alot of damage
by gossiping about her and complaining how mean she was to me. I believe she really was mean to me.
I have tried apologizing to her but she doesnt want to hear it.She says she accepts my apology but
never wants anything to do with me,and will never trust me again or be friends with me again.
I have asked Gods forgiveness and know he has forgiven me,and am in counseling to help me to improve myself. However this happened in august,and it still hurts. It hurts that she doesn't even want to look at me anymore,and I was just wondering when and how I can finally be healed from this wound.

If you apologized and asked for forgiveness then you did what you needed on you end. If she wants to hold onto feelings that's her business. Maybe focusing on other friends can help.

You're welcome. Whenever I think about someone that has sinned against me I try and remember that everybody has and will sin at some point. Sure there are some occasions where cutting all ties may be safe but hopefully your friend will think about that. Would she want you to do to her what she is doing? Probably not.

Me and her are no longer friends and probably never will be unless God does a miracle.

The Lord Jesus Christ can heal your hurt:

Psalm 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds

Ask the Lord to heal this hurt according to His word. Put the whole situation in His hands

He will help you do that. Stand on His word and claim His promise to heal you. Every time Satan tries to hand it back to you, refuse to receive it again. Instead stand on His word and say "This hurt now belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, who fully paid for my healing by His blood, and I lift it up to Him again. Please take it from me Jesus, according to your word"

Sure. Then I do some self-examination. Figure out why I'm holding onto whatever it is. Accept that I can let it go. Apologize to anyone who I might feel the need to. Get on with life.
