In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not here. If it is taught in science classes in America, this sheds a questionable light on your education system since it isn´t by any means a scientific theory. It is a metaphysical assumption.

Alternate to which theory? Your strawman theory (which isn´t actually taught), or evolution theory (which is being taught)?
In the latter case, none. There is no alternative scientific theory that qualifies for being taught in science classes.

It's not supposed to be in any public school that I know of. Instead, they usually just teach the Theory of Evolution.

Still waiting for any creationist viewpoint taught in public schools contrary to the creationist viewpoint that humanity is the creation of solely, totally naturalistic mechanisms acting on a single life form from long long ago.

Are you really that thick?
Science deals only with the natural aspects, and consequently it mentions only those.
That´s not the same as making any positive or negative statement concerning metaphysical ideas.

When you go to a mechanic he will tell you what´s wrong with your car and fix it. He won´t mention what´s wrong with your house, your wife, your children or your health. He just doesn´t mention it - simply because it´s not his field nor his job. Doesn´t mean he makes a claim that you don´t have any other problems than those with your car.

Same with science. It addresses natural processes, and just those. Which doesn´t mean it makes any positive claim that there aren´t possibly metaphysical processes involved, as well.

Get it?

Right. The particular creationist viewpoint attributes the creation of humanity only, totally, completely, solely to naturalistic mechanisms acting on a single life form from long long ago. That's the only creationist viewpoint presented in our schools, consequently our children learn that they owe their existence only, totally, completely, solely to naturalistic mechanisms acting on a single life form from long long ago.

That's an inherently atheistic creationist viewpoint. An atheistic worldview of life, an atheistic philosophy of life, being taught our children.

Why can't you admit the obvious?
