  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

  • The rule regarding AI content has been updated. The rule now rules as follows:

Be sure to credit AI when copying and pasting AI sources. Link to the site of the AI search, just like linking to an article.

I have what use to be a flowering plant on my desk.
My parents gave it to me over two weeks ago for my birthday.
Got to throw it out before I head out of the office this weekend.

Of course, I have the flowers they gave me the year before still in a vase at home.
They just dried in there. Nothing to look at really.
Probably ought to throw those out too.

It is the only time of year I get them and only from my parents.

Thanks for the sentiment.
I do not need anything. I do have flowers and bibles just not equiped.
I kind of like the mandolin because it represents PEACE. That was the description in the armory.
I like that because I come to CF for peace (and got it). That is why I have left that equipped.

... or both?

I'm still unique in my uniqueness, though. Or rather, unique that I consider that I am unique in my uniqueness... if that means anything at all ... which I think it does.

(Translation - no one is like me, no matter how much they are like me... Translation of the translation - I'm inherently complicated and incredibly subtle, but somehow I still try to make sense to people anyway, emphasis on 'try')

*sigh* C'est la vis

I know what ya mean :)

I never really realized it could be both at the same time... but yeah, 'tis possible.

And isn't confusing people fun sometimes? ;)

I once read a two-volumne dictionary. I also spontaneously start pacing (which can last over an hour), and at night will spontaneously sprint.
Me too!! I do all of those things quite frequently. My mom took it upon herself to tell my first landlady that I will sometimes get up in the middle of the night and start pacing or sprinting in the house. I begged her not to mention it, but my mom thought it was her duty to do so in case I gave someone a heartattack.

Other weird things I do...

I have a bad habit of hyperventilating (not because of exersize). I´ve been doing it since I was little. Usually it happens when I´m deep in thought or get really excited about something.

I have two computers at opposite sides of the house. And they are networked together, which I hooked up myself by running network cable under the carpet. They are both older computers with a Windows Millennium Editon operating system. Whatever computer I feel like using is the one I use. It doesn't matter which computer I'm at, I can access either computer or either printer remotely.

It seems like kind of a waste, I know, being single, but the good thing about it, if I have company over, we both can be on the internet at the same time, and even send instant messages (even though we're on opposite sides of the same house), or we can play computer games for 2 players or online.

I don't make tuna fish sandwiches. I'll put the tuna fish, salad dressing, salt and pepper into a bowl and mix it up, then tear up a slice of bread and mix it in as well. It's the lazy man's sandwich, but it lowers carbs. :)
I don't even want to think about the bologna omelette I tried once (without frying the bologna)... ackk!

People think I'm weird because I LOVE hockey. I know if I lived someplace other than Indiana this wouldn't be a 'problem.' lol!

Also, yeah, people think I'm weird because I work all the time too.

I like to sit here and goof around on the forums while listening to Chicago Cubs baseball (or hockey if it's in season).

My co-workers think I'm weird because I like to go to the company gym and workout at 10pm. (I work anywhere from 7am/8am to 5/7pm).

My neighbours think I'm 'weird' because they've never seen a MALE over here for a long period of time but my best friend from school sometimes spends the night. lol!!!

Everyone who knows me thinks I'm weird because I'd rather live in Canada. :)
