  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ok.. now you've crossed the line cuz that's just sick.

episode = you don't remember the one where Bugs boxes that big fighter guy and drops an anvil on his head. then, when he gets up. Bugs has a door there and he knocks on it. Bugs answers and the boxer guy has birds flying around his head and says in a really wetarrrrrrrded voice.. "duuuuuuuuuh.. uhhhhhhhh just passin' by" it's so funny!! you gotta see that one.. it's sooo funny!

what about the one with Daffy... the one where Daffy goes "this is a close up?"..

I remember the boxing and the dude with muscles on top of muscles, but not the door. That is what threw me.

Vaguely. How about "Shoo, it's hot" Who said that?

- I like chasing thunderstorms and tornadoes
- I like skydiving (a lot)
- I have a pair of sandals for every occasion: work, dress, concert, church, skydiving, stormchasing...
- I'm a political activist
- I'm an amateur weather forecaster (don't ask me about the weather, because I'll tell you up 60,000 feet and back 60 years!)
- I'm a religion freak (ca. 800 books in my library)
- I trained to be a concert pianist and composer, and still occasionally perform, but I always perform wearing sandals.
- My hair is gray, save for one green streak along the right side (because I think it looks cool)
- I had my ears pierced for my 50th birthday
- My most notorious musical composition is one where everything is left completely to chance, and neither the conductor nor the performers know what will happen next (and it lasts over 20 minutes).
- My other most notorious musical composition is a piano piece consisting of 100 variations of the opening two measures of Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata for piano. The 101st variation consists of the third measure of Beethoven's original piece (and then the composition ends).
- I collect teddy bears (currently, I have about 110).
- I'm a mathematics freak.
- Finally, I've collected one sample of 65 naturally-occurring elements of the first 92 naturally-occuring elements. (I doubt if I'll ever get a sample of Francium or Promothium unless I rob a bank or win big in the lottery!)

I am like that character on Saturday Night Live called Debbie Downer played by Rachel Dratch as her character brings up topics of death, disease, and destruction at usually fun social gatherings like weddings & parties. Raining on people's parade.

Laughter is good for the body and the soul.

One of my neighbors told me she can hear me from across the street (our TV faces the street) when I laugh and wonders what I'm watching that's so funny.

I find french fries dipped in vanilla ice cream the bomb. :)

Now I'm going to have to try that combination... it sounds good :yum:.

The strangest food concoction that I kind of liked was peanut butter on toast, dipped in salsa. Ah, college memories...

But as to the original question, I'm probably more ususual than weird.

Peanut butter and sweet pickles is an acceptable (and delicious) sandwich combination! :yum:

Somehow the egg one sounds good, but I'm not so sure about the sweet pickles or salsa ones! The last two might be too weird for me. ;)

Let's see... I'm weird because I use my turn signal when I'm driving in a parking lot even when no one else is driving around.
