How to thank God?

I got a job and I want to thank Him. What should I do? Donate to the Church? Sacrifice a lamb?

tell Him how grateful you are. you could show it by giving to someone in need or something like that. animal sacrifices are not neccessary anymore

Did you know that there are some Jewish sects that do still practice sacrificing animals to God?

Yeah. I think a simple Thank You will suffice,,,but I fear there is much in your short O.P. that we're missing.

Isn’t it somewhat common for people to bake prosphora or koliva or something like that as well, as a thanksgiving? Or am I mistaken?
