  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just walk.....and walk......and walk......

It's crazy because due to my separation I had to move out. I moved from a house that had everything (cable, internet, yard, etc) to a studio apt. with just cable. No internet. I guess that's a good thing. So, I walk. Pretty boring huh? LOL!

But that's how I deal with my boredom.

Well, I had lots of spare time last week since the kiddos went to see their dad for the first week of summer. I found that when I'm bored, I rearrange.

I'm guessing my house will look very different when they're gone for 5 weeks the second half of the summer. :sigh:

I did a lot of walking until I moved into this lousy complex with nothing for a few miles but biker bars and adult bookstores, so no walking out of this place for me. :(

Other than that, I will go to the parks when I can and do the tracks. Walk about 4 or 5 laps around and pray and meditate.

Walking is good for the mind and body. Much better than sitting at a PC or watching TV. Get a small weight set and do some lifting. That's good for you too.and takes up minimal space.

Seriously, I'm trying to not even think about them being gone for that long. :( They may not recognize our home when they come back. LOL

That is the question!

Any answers?

When Randy is not online I sometimes have a hard time staying busy.
I joined iVillage two weeks ago and HisHolySpace this past week.
I am getting into iVillage, its mainly a women's community.

I just miss being able to connect online with Randy.
I know he is busy working and that's great.
I still miss him terribly.
Stay away from the religious debate board. The reason why I am here is because of that board.

It is filled with pagans, atheist, witches, wiccan who LOVE to ridicule and attack God.

Be careful if you go onto that board.

When I'm bored--I walk--ALOT!!! I logged close to 20 miles of walking this weekend alone!!!
Today--on my walk--I was even stopped by a police officer--1st time that has ever happened on one of my walks. He asked me some questions--asked for my ID-& checked for warrants--then let me go. He was very professional--but it kind of surprised me a bit. He was probably wondering what in the world I was doing--walking in the 90+ degree heat!!! I WAS BORED!!

I also play on my guitar sometimes & get online.

I have a list against boredom - somewhere in my computer archive. it even has categories  (indoor, outdoor, alone, with friends)

some things I remember:
- bake a cake
- write a song or a story
- sort your CD collection or old photos
- back up your computer
- take pictures with your camera and create postcards for friend and family
- go xmas shopping for a specific person, not matter what time of the year
- read a book a friend has recommended and let him/her know your critic
- clean your attic and your basement
- learn a new instrument or start practicing your old one

My kids were gone for the last 10 days due to a hiccup in their daycare situation, so I asked their dad to take them. He'll still get 5 weeks starting in July - but I already re-arranged their rooms and the playroom. I guess I'm going to have to tackle the landscaping instead when they're gone for the 5 weeks. :(

I do, however, appreciate the down time in the sense that I can re-group and be able to have me time as needed when they're gone. Kind of a double-edged sword. I am grateful for the time, but I miss them terribly when they're gone.
