How to get to heaven when you die

Dunno about you Folks but I think that it is NOT about Heaven and even NOT about being "saved"... This is all about LOVE. If you live with LOVE in your heart and if you treat others according to LOVE(not because you want to get to heaven or be "saved")... then you will please the Lord. Too many people just study the Bible and attend church but in their hearts EVEY DAY not just on special occacions they dont live according to love... This is what is sad...

This is why I belive that if you are a Catholic or Lutheran or whatever Christian confession... and even if you are NON Christian but you live your life according to LOVE and treat others as brothers and sisters, THEN you gonna dwell with God when you die... but if you spend your life trying to get to heaven of get "saved" then you fail if you have no love.... Because God is love!!!!

This is exactly how I was 6 months ago when I found Jesus, no one would answer my questions and no Christains I met had any biblicle knowledge whatsoever. So I went about studying every thing I could find.

My knowledge is far from complete but I now have the ability and notes to find the answers to ALMOST any legitimate questions on bible scholor.

My point being, I am here to help

We cannot go by our feelings here. The bible is clear that we cannot be good to get to heaven.

The bible says Ro 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

This verse says that it is NOT of works. If God is going to judge you, and He wrote this book to tell you how He is going to judge you, don't you think that you had better listen to what He says? He said that the only way to heaven was through Jesus, not by being good. By saying that God will accept you anyway is to call God a liar.

I don't care that much about this life while I'm here, because soon I'll be dead. So while I'm here I'll concern myself with what's really going to last forever.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm no expert on the Baha'i faith, and I'd appreciate seeing firsthand where your decisions are coming from.

I haven't come to any conclusions about what Christians believe. What they say confuses me. I have questions but no-one seems to want to answer them. That's why I joined CF - to find someone willing to answer my questions. So far all I've gotten is lengthy sermons that are in no way related to anything I want to know.

It has nothing to do with being "good" it has nothing to do with "works" BUT with WHAT you are in your heart, what is your attitude to the world and other people. It does not help to pray and read the Bible and wear a T-shirt that says "JESUS"... the only way to show that you really have Jesus in your heart is LIVE ACCORDING TO LOVE! Because if you look at the life of Jesus it IS love. And you can every day declare that you belong to Jesus , but if you have no LOVE you have nothing.

And it is not up to US to judge if you are 'saved' or not, only the ONE who can see ALL knows

Well you refuse to quote any of his works and no Christains here have studied that faith. I would suggest to get the questions about your faith answered, you would need to find someone who is familiar with it.

When the bible says "repent" it means to turn away. Turn away from what? Our sins and reliance on ourselves and turn to Jesus Christ to save you, because you cannot save yourself. "Believe" means to put your trust in...in this case, it's Jesus Christ for salvation.

Don't follow Him, stick with the true Faith, which is Judaism." Would that be good advice or bad advice? If you listened to that person and rejected Jesus, where would you be spending eternity?

Please tell me which book, chapter, and verse says that someone 1800 years after Jesus who lives in Persia and calls Himself the "Glory of God" is one of the false Christs we are warned about. If there is no such verse in the Bible, then why would I believe you have correctly interpreted the warnings about false prophets and false Christs when you say my religion is included in those warnings?
