Hello ChaCheer,
"I was wondering could some one tell me how to get a bible?"
You can usually get a Bible from your local Christian bookshops for a reasonable price. Other ways include just using Internet sites like BibleGateway.com and using their on-line Bibles or you could even bid on a Bible on eBay. eBay is a great place for bargains and picking up goods at a reduced price.
Except since I'm doing law at TAFE in one of my subjects and we are discussing bankruptcy and when an insolvent (someone who is unable to pay their debts as and when they fall) sells items at a reduced market price the trustee (a bloke who is in control of all the insolvent's assets when they become bankrupt) can retrieve that item if they can show that it was an undervalued transaction, depending on how long before the insolvent was declared bankrupt the transaction took place. You know, you never thought or worried about things like that before, lol.
"1. Foundation Series - Volume one by Derek Prince
It has about, foundation for faith, repent and believe"
Derek Prince was an excellent Bible teacher and anything that he writes will help you (if you put it into practice where possible), particularly given the description of the book that you gave. From the sound of it, the book will lead you a step at a time about how to come to have a relationship with the God of the universe through His Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for your sin and explain why it was necessary for Jesus to be an atonement for our sin.
"2. The Story of GOD- by international bible society"
This also seems like a good book from the overviews that I've read about it briefly; basically from what I have been able to gather, The Story Of God gives you an "overview" of the Bible, with particular emphasis on the lengths that He goes to in order to rescue lost and hurting people.
"How good are these books for me as a newbie to christianity?"
They seem like very good resources to give you an understanding of Christianity, God's redemptive plan, and His nature. I hope that you enjoy reading and meditating on (or thinking about) them and what they tell you about God.
May God continue to bless, grow, strengthen, and use you as you mature more in the faith.
Your brother in Christ,
Bluewing.
