How to embed an image

Heya everyone.

I'm trying to figure out how to have images directly viewable in emails that I send and not just links for them.

I'm am using Gmail and I'm would like to send messages to a Yahoo account.

Also, would this work with animated GIFs as well?

You can drag'n'drop an image from your computer to the Gmail email window. More info here.

Also there is a new compose window in Gmail to try, compose a new message then look at the top of the window just to the right of the "Labels" button. Click on "Try out the new compose experience" and a smaller compose window opens - move mouse cursor down to the toolbar at the bottom of the new window and icons will appear, click on camera icon and follow instructions from there
